Nice town Karaikudi. Neat and clean. Famous for steel vessels and Koppudai amman temple. My father was born here and he suggested this temple. Considered to be very powerful even though the deity herself is small. Very calm and serene despite being in the kadai theru.

This is a must for travelers who like to go where few travelers venture. This shrine on the edge of a small rural village has a long pathway entrance lined with hundreds of clay horses (and a few other creatures). The clay figures were damaged in recent bad weather but are still awesome. If you're lucky enough to see the shrine keeper making an offering it is even better.

Beautiful place, you get to see the authentic heritage house. The place is hosted by a lovely couple who was happy to share their stories and history of chettiars.
