Arnold Palmer designed layout was selected by Golf Magazine as one of the top 20 "Best New Courses that you can play" in the United States.
Our group returned to Myrtle after a five year hiatus and Rivers Edge is one of the courses we wanted to play. We were not disappointed. The course is in great shape, the staff is wonderful and we had a great time. The only possible drawback is the par three 15th where the golfer is forced to hit 160 yards over the marsh from a mat. Other courses manage small tee boxes such as this, Rivers Edge can too. But that's a minor ding in a wonderful track. Play it.

I've stopped here about five times to fill up on some great coffee and a danish/muffin. They have a drive through as well as counter service. The interior has several places to sit, pull out your laptop and get some work done, or actually talk to your significant other.
I have no idea why TripAdvisor thinks this is an, "Attraction."
Right on Main Street in Shallotte. Friendly staff. I'll keep going back.

The interesting exhibits, dioramas and interactive displays of this museum depicts the natural history of coastal North and South Carolina.
We enjoyed this place in that it told of the ocean currents, sea and shore animals and some history and heritage of living near the local coast. However, it had fairly limited exhibits and was overpriced for what you saw ($9.50 per adult). One room was even down a half flight of stairs without any way for handicapped people to see (Americans w/ Disabilities Act violation?).

Very beautiful, well-kept beach area. The houses in this community are gorgeous and colorful. It's quiet because everyone renting these houses are hanging at the beach most of the time. The beach area is nice and clean. The ocean is breath-taking. The streets are flat, clean, and well maintained. My parents rent a house here often and spend a week here on vacation. They just took me here over the weekend to show me what all the fuss was about. It really is an awesome area! And there's places to eat nearby and its close to the city and Myrtle Beach! And if you travel north another half hour there's a lighthouse!

If you are on vacation, if you live here and have tired of the commercialized much hyped, over priced over abundance of attractions between Myrtle Beach and points north, take
a road trip to the most eclectic, obscene, accumulation of everything, anyone might have once had squirreled away in a long ago forgotten trunk, face to face with every conceived halloween prank never realized. After some point, you will leave this place, I mean they don't rent rooms, but I guarantee you will find yourself just down the road coming up
with reasons to come back to maybe go back down the "tunnel". This is absolutely a must see for any age level! Ask Mike and Frank of "Pickers" fame..................

We've gone to this mall for the last 4 or 5 years. This year we found that they've added another building nearby. This is the typical antique mall with newer consignment items as well. We rarely leave empty-handed because it is possible to find some unique things. It's a bit crowded, but we've seen worse. Even though the word "fancy" is in its name, don't expect fancy. This is your usual mid-sized antique mall. Nothing is displayed really well, but half of the fun is digging around. There is adequate parking, a clean public restroom, and the staff is friendly. The second building isn't as full and we thought the stuff looked a bit newer. There's a treasure for everyone! It's always on our list of things to do when we visit Sunset Beach.

I highly recommend Cpt. Cane. Well thought out, easy, professional, and all around well executed tour. We did a half day with some Spanish Mackerel and shark fishing. Not much luck on the sharks but great luck on the mackerel. Even if the fishing had not been great the boat trip would have been a success with the small group and excellent Captain. Great job.

Be prepared to spend several hours looking at everything. Also if Mary is not busy , you should take time to listen to some of her tales ...

Like others have said, alot of the arcade games don't work, had trouble with our bowling lanes and the couches were dirty. Need I say more. Go to 710 Bowling in NMB. Maybe they should be reading folks reviews and do something about it.......Have never given out a 1 star review.

Booked an early morning cruise up the inlet to the freshwater swamps, it was beautiful. He can tell you about the birds, fish, and life here that is entertaining and informative. We've been vacationing here for ten years and found out more details in three hours with Captain Scott on his cruise. He even answered questions my husband had on boats, the costs, maintenance, salt water verses fresh, fishing etc...he really is a sweetheart of a man, very patient, and hospitable. If you get the chance book a cruise with him. The only regret we have is that we didn't find him sooner.
