The Promenade is 1.5 mile each way--so this makes for an excellent, scenic and enjoyable run in the mornings during my stay here. The tourists are really out in force over the weekend--but otherwise very relaxing.

We had lunch at Camp 18. The atmosphere and lunch was very good. The waitors were very attentive and nice. Would definitely stop here again.

This was the farthest north on our beach travels before heading back to Portland and our flight home. Though not the favorite of our stops, this was a great beach experience. Tide was out and many people were working their way along the rock outcroppings as they strolled the beach. I am assuming that the northern beaches in Oregon get more traffic from the Portland area as we found the beaches farther south to be less crowded and less traffic in the beach towns.

Great family hike along the Tillamook Trail connecting Indian Beach and Ecola State Park. This was an easy hike for our family of 4 and dog. Our youngest is 8 and had no issues. Highly recommended for a family outing that ends or begins at the beach. Indian Beach is a beautiful beach!

Seaside is a wonderful place. Walk the beach, visit the shops and enjoy some good food. A lot more shops in one small area than in Lincoln City.

If salt water taffy is your thing or you're someone with a sweet tooth, this is a must stop. There are soooo many flavors of taffy. Everything from the fruit flavored classics, to crazy combinations, to out of this world probably not super great going to try it anyway. It's a great stop.

Had a great time, i love going through shops. Employees of all shop were nice and helpful. Boyfriend and I even got our selfs drawn by a character artist. Got ourselves new hats at the hat shop. The owner is amazing and very sweet. There is a big carousel in the middle of building. Although we didn't go on it we saw some families enjoying it.

Commemorates the effort the Lewis and Clark party did during their winter stay to make salt to preserve their foods for the return trip. Small site with representation of what they did here. I understand that the site's location was determined from the oral history passed down from the Clatsup Indians who recalled where the white men did their salt preparation.
