The Thalasso Gloria San Agustin centre at Gloria Palace San Agustin Thalasso & Hotel was opened in 1998. Equipped with the latest technological advances, it is one of the world's most modern centres, with more than 7000 m² given over to relaxation and comfort. This extensive area is entirely involved in health, with a total of four seawater pools, including the dynamic pool, gym pool and the large Get in Shape Pool, which consists of a relaxing circuit of seawater heated to different temperatures (33ºC/37ºC) with 33 hydromassage points. This was the first large installation to open on the island of Gran Canaria specifically to provide services using seawater. It went on to become the largest thalassotherapy centre not only in the Island but also in Europe, constituting a model for the development of further facilities.
We spent 7 nights in Gloria San Agustin Hotel in August of 2019 with half-board. We were very satisfied with the hotel personnel, with our room (7th floor with view to the ocean) and the hotel itself. Breakfasts and dinners were perfect, there were numerous choices and a lot of types of food (Asian, Italian, Spanish, classic English, lot of fruits, vegetables, meats, pastas, desserts, healthy-food corner, diatetic foods, cheese, so everything you want). We tried the swimming pools a few times. Personnel is very kind, helpful, they solve everything you need. Satisfied with the cleanliness of our room. The only thing which was a little annoying was that evening programmes lasted till 11:45 pm every day and we were not able to sleep before midnight.

The promenade follows the edge of the beach from north of san augustin to the dunes of Maspalomas, where it diverts around the golf course before continuing along the coast to Melonares. You can avoid the diversion by walking across the dunes, which in itself is a pleasant experience although harder going. We walked the entire length a couple of times during our stay, and enjoyed it very much - generally well made, although there are flights of steps or steep ramps involved at a couple of locations. (Note, there is currently a diversion in place to the north of san augustin due to a land slip. The diversion takes you away from the coast and involves a series of steps).

Finca Canarias Aloe Vera continues growing with San Agustin farm. Overlooking the sea and close to all services, we have more than 1,000 aloe vera plants under development, a small botanical garden with varieties native to the Canary Islands and a chill out space to enjoy and rest. The cultivation of aloe vera is 100% eco and the visit and demo is completely free and in different lenguajes.
Very informative about the Aloe Vera plant and its properties for health. The shop was well stocked and attractive and the people not pushy for sales.
