A beautiful spot in Salavan. Very colourful paintings inside the temple depicting age old stories. An original wooden building probably used as a meeting place or temples in the beginning. A must see.

Ongkeo is the "hero" of Salavan, he fought the French for 6 years because of their destruction of a temple. He was executed by them in 1910. The French would have labelled him a terrorist but one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter. A thought worth pondering as countries fight "terrorists".

Many small places to visit along the banks of Sedon River with fresh clear water. Near the town bank there are local gardens to see and steps to sit and be peaceful.

A prominent monument of Salavan noted for the Can or Khaen Pipes. It is across from a lovely coffee cafe Khaen Cafe but can serve you snacks in the park as well.
