The Arche is home to both the Archives and the Museum of the Territorial Collectivity of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. The scenography allows visitors to step back in time and discover the history and stories of the archipelago, including the guillotine, kept here as a remembrance of the past. Numerous events are offered year-round, such as temporary exhibitions, activities, workshops, shows, lectures, etc.

The museum is well done and better interpreted than most French museums. Our group did a tour to Ile aux Marins and an architecture/history tour of the town via the museum, both excellent and I'd highly recommend them (they've a range from1 to 3 hours, price usually includes entry to the museum)
