We had never seen a scrub jay "in person" until we visited this vegetation rich preserve where we saw many of these blue birds. They seemed to magically appear, and as we watched them - they watched us. Some even swooped down & landed on our head! We learned that Florida scrub jays are found only in Florida scrubland and have been in Florida for at least two million years. Cruickshank Sanctuary is certainly worth a visit. We plan to return again!

We golf here quite a bit. It is the best local course. Fairways are kept up and greens perfect. Cost is reasonable and staff pleasant for the most part. Course is quiet except when it follows 95. Lots of wildlife and landscaping is plentiful. We enjoy golfing here and usually grab a bite to eat in their restaurant. The egg sandwiches are yummy but some of the workers here are grumpy. Course runs about 4 hours unless crowded. Pro shop employees are real friendly and you can buy anything you need to golf here.

I have been going to Pineda Inn since the mid 90's and has always been one of my favorites. I can not believe that it just gets better. The outside side tiki bar and back patio area with wonderful views of the intracoastal water way. Happy hour are the best in town with excellent food and great staff with fare prices.Don't let the exterior fool you your in for a treat.
