Savannah's picturesque historic district brings the traditional southern atmosphere to life.
Savannah is one of the prettiest city's that we have visited. Lots of history with beautiful old homes, buildings, squares and cemeteries. First thing we did was take an old town trolley tour. We think that $33.00 for one day is too expensive, (2 days is $46.00), but you can hop on and off at 15 stops. We did the same tour in St. Augustine and the cost per day is only $23.00 or $28.00 for 2 days. Would be nice if the cost was the same in all cities that they operate in. We also took a 45 minute caleche/horse drawn carriage ride and a riverboat cruise. There are some great restaurants to be found and your days will be full of great sites to visit. We want to come back again.

The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force preserves the stories of courage, character and patriotism displayed by the men and women of the Eighth Air Force from World War II to present.
The museum was wonderful. You really shouldn’t miss stopping here. Very educational for all ages.
The staff was part volunteer and part paid. Our guy had a brother who actually flew during WW II. He had fantastic stories to share.
Parking was plentiful and it was easy access from I-95.

My husband and I are visiting Savannah for Christmas and he found this local winery for us to visit while here. This was an excellent choice! The husband and wife owners were extremely friendly. They are very knowledgeable about the wines. The wines we tasted were delicious. Very different flavors from your everyday wine! We came for a tasting and maybe a bottle or two - we left with 6!! This is a must do if you are anywhere near here!

My two boys (5 and 2) spent two hours here last October and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. There was plenty to see - check out the website for all of the animals. Wagons can be cheaply rented from the front desk which was ideal for my 2 year old who would have struggled to walk the whole way. I particularly liked the diversity of the refuge and the boardwalk out into the everglades. Baby crocs are kept in the museum shop in the main building. My boys liked seeing the babies up close. Overall, a great visit for any family with kids. We will certainly visit again on our return to Savannah next year.

Official source for information on everything there is to do and see around Georgia. Open 7 days a week.
This is by far the BEST Rest Area/Welcome center I have ever stopped at. Then I never would of thought about reviewing a Welcome Center. Most Rest Areas/Welcome Centers are dirty, crowded, unappealing and sometimes scary. This is brand new and absolutely beautiful. It's been a long time coming but well worth the wait. We travel I-95 quite often and only having portables at this stop has been difficult. The building is lovely on the outside but once you step inside it has a museum like quality. It feels like you are walking through a Georgia forest with Forrest Gump. I love the information available, the people that work there and all the displays. The bathrooms are shiny clean and wash and dry your hands at the same time. Seating inside with plenty of room to stretch and take a break from the intense heat. If only they had an inside area for pets. Outside is also clean with swings and picnic area. Plenty of parking. I hope they keep the area clean and sparkly as it is now and it doesn't end up as just another rest stop.

I was looking for things to do in Rincon so we could have an excuse to go to a restaurant out there. Came across tripadvisor's list of things to do in Rincon, consisting of just 3 things. I went over to the madrac farm website & realized they were hosting a "snow day" the very next day. It turned out to be so much fun. Our 8 year old had a blast. Two slides for sledding (which adults and kids can enjoy), two bounce houses, face painting, an area for playing in the snow, and we even got to feed some goats. There were also several fire pits for grilling hot dogs, smores, etc. It was an awesome way to spend the day, especially for $35 for all three of us.

My husband and I rented a canoe (very stable) to calmly explore this exquisitely lovely Ebenezer Creek by ourselves. Larry encouraged an earlier start than noon and we're glad he did, because Saturday afternoon became busy. He was there promptly with the canoe at the start and had a sixth sense about when we'd be back so arrived to meet us just before we could call! The rental price was fair and we especially liked it was not per-hour, so we didn't need to keep an eye on the time. The beauty of the creek is magical -- we went in mid-February before the leaves were out, but the trees would be stunning in any season. This was our Savannah trip highlight.

My husband and I wanted to take a conceal and carry class. This is the place to go!!
Ed Soto and his staff are awesome. Ed is so very conscientious and stresses safety above all else. The classroom setting was very conducive to asking questions and learning. Everything was very well explained with many examples of possible situations. And again, while qualifying in the range, once again, safety was paramount. I would without any doubt highly recommend Palmetto Indoor Range!

This is a great place to just go browse. There's always something there that you will need. This location also doubles as an auction site, so there are two sides to the building. However, there is a time when you can "peek" at auction items before auction time to get an idea if you want to go back or not. The antique side is all cool stuff as well as some that have been "remodeled" ie: painted or repaired. Wonderfully nice people and prices are reasonable.
