Went to a friend's art show at this winery. A fun drive to get there, along the Horses & Hounds Scenic Byway--very pretty! A pleasant setting & the wine tastings were reasonably priced. Will return...

Amanda and Suzie were fantastic. They were patient and extremely knowledgeable on how to engage first time riders (Although we were not) and make the experience enjoybale. My daughter was already talking about booking the next visit before we even got off the horse!

Captain Dan's Crabhouse

Reviewed By Pannipannini - Maryland

We came here with a small group of people for dinner. I would call ahead and make a reservation since the in-house area is very small. The service was excellent, that has to be said.

The crabs were average: some old (chewy) ones were mixed in with the fresh crabs. Reter's in the area is much better. One of our party is a vegetarian who eats fish occasionally. They had the flounder (broiled). It was so salty that is was barely eatable. It was consumed regardless because no one likes to waste food. Th French fries were similarly loaded with salt.

If you are a strict vegetarian, there is nothing on the menu but a grilled cheese sandwich and a mediocre house salad. And French fries or a baked potato (or potato salad). None of which really make for a complete meal.

For what you pay to eat there, the bathroom should work: the toilets should flush properly, toilet paper dispenser should not be in pieces, and the general cleanliness should be much higher. Faucets are temperamental....it really doesn't take much to keep a place clean in this day and age.

This place was a disappointment...

Piney Run Park

The park itself has a boat launch, and boat, paddle boat, and canoe rentals on the lake. There is a small nature center, and another access to the lake, I suppose for fishing. We were there during the Fall Apple Festival, which was a nice event. There was live music, food, of course apples and apple-centric treats and drinks, and crafts and vendors in the shade of the trees. There are a couple kids play areas, and it's a pretty good place to spend an hour or two just walking along the paths and through the woods, burning off a little steam away from the hustle and bustle.

This area has changed a lot since I went here 40 - 45 years ago!! If I remember right the place got it's name during the Civil War. When Union troops would take some R&R in this area and the "Ladies of the Night" would spend that time with them. Nuff said! Lots of beautiful fauna and a good place for bird watching. There are some rare species of plants to be found here as well. Nice place to enjoy a warm weather day with the family - minus the "Ladies of the Night"!

Escape Adventures

Escape Adventures is an experience like no other, merging strong narrative elements with creative puzzles for your group to solve within the 60 minute time limit! We give you the goal, but the story is uniquely yours!

Reviewed By Emerson S - Washington DC, District of Columbia

My dad and I visited Escape Adventures and had an amazing time. Both Kingdom Quest and Curse of Dracula are outstanding escape rooms that combine terrific production design, clever and innovative puzzles, and strong narrative flow.

Kingdom Quest has a really fun story that draws from all sorts of fairy tales and a gorgeously themed area with lots of clever surprises. Curse of Dracula takes place in the dark, and does a wonderful job capturing the moody, frightening feel of vampire films.

The puzzles are all logical and intuitive, and some are very clever (and include things I've never seen before at other rooms). Both games, especially Curse of Dracula, are definitely on the challenging end, with lots to do. Strongly recommended.

Finally, our game master (on March 18) was one of the best I've had. She was incredibly helpful, knew just the right hints to give, and made our experience a blast.

You can spend all day on the trails out here, but I would download the AllTrails app so you can keep track of where you are. We got hiking on a trail and did not realize that it was a 6 mile trail before it connected with another one. There were lots of bikers on the trails, most of them are narrow so you will have to move over when bikers are coming through. Trails are well marked on the trees, but since these trails are so long, I would never do this on my own.
Unfortunately, there is an entry fee per person to come to the park – fee includes weekends and holidays

Great working farm with rescued horses, gorgeous trails, lots of cool cats, dogs and goats. Judy, who owns the place is so amazing and dedicated to animal rescue. Take some supplies with you for a donation, the volunteer staff are an incredible group of people, it takes a lot of time and money to do what they do. ( a bag of dry cat food would be great) The trail had some steep riding and the guide took us through a stream, very scenic, a simply perfect afternoon. Going back.
