This villiage is stunning. You find yourself marvelling at the lovely lake, river, park area at the bottom of huge cliffs with houses built into them, a church and a castle near the top. Take your camera!

A good way to start your trip to Alcal del Jucar as you can climb over the battlements and see great views of what lies below. There is also some rooms which show what living in the castle was like. Signs are in Spanish only but it is an interesting enough building in itself to take a trip around.

We were traveling through the region and had heard of these caves. Definitely worth the visit and to meet the owners. Each visitor is rewarded with a choice of drink at the bar after completing their visit, at least when we were there. If I recall, the owner has a Dali moustache and was a former bull fighter!
