This 19th-century castle was commissioned by King Carol I and is considered to be one of the most beautiful castles in Europe.
An absolute highlight. The tour was excellent. The guide was friendly and informative, and it is definitely worth the extra charge to take photos of the magnificent rooms.

The "Nicolae Simache" Clock Museum from Ploiesti is the only one of its kind in Romania and in Eastern Europe; a museum where you can admire a beautiful collection of old clocks and musical boxes.
Recently renovated has a unique collection of watches, in Southeast Europe. The building is located near the Chestnut Boulevard, which also has buildings belonging to the national and local heritage. You must see it, also building and watches collection!

If you go to Romania, you cannot miss out on a hiking trip in the Bucegi Mountains. We did a one day hike, and I wished we could do some more and stayed more time in that region. The blue cross hike up from Busteni to the Babele is breathtaking, adventurous and awesome! Don't miss out.

I am running out of superlatives here. I have visited this monastery many timesover the years and I am happy to say that it seems to get better every time. It is well maintained and clean, providing neccessary facilities for tourists, and everything people coming to pray or meditate may need. More recently, the old little chapel has been restored and opened to visitors. It is beautiful in its age and simplicity. One more reason to stop over and spend a quiet contemplative time.

What a lovely place Queen Mary and King Ferdinand built! Intimate, cosy, charming. The touch of this great couple can be seen in this whole castle. The heart of the queen rests in the Golden Room. One of the most charming castles I have visited.

Excelent view. Easy road over the top of the mountains if you go by cable car from Busteni. Totally worth it.

Very close to the city, accessible by stairs on the road to the cable-car. You can find there animals (birds, rabbits, ponies) and visit the 2 churches located on the grounds. The place is quiet, beautiful, clean and a good place for meditation. Would reccomend to visit anytime.

Situated in the heart of the Bucegi Mountains and reaching the highest altitude in Romania a cable has reached– 2050 m, Sinaia Gondola can be seen as the transition point between sky and earth, between beautiful and spectacular. The 1000-1400 section of Sinaia Gondola starts from Furnica neighborhood, reaching 1400 elevation. This section was opened in 2007, having 34 gondolas, each being able to carry up to eight people. The length of this section is 1312 meters. The maximum transportation capacity is 1700 people / hour and the gondolas are provided with external pockets for skis and snowboards. The 1400-2000 section of Sinaia Gondola is one of the latest and most performant cable installations from Europe and around the Globe, merging the two ski areas from Sinaia: the low and high altitude ski areas. Being equipped with ultramodern functioning systems and the latest technology in its field, the 1400-2000 section of Sinaia Gondola has two diesel engines and the latest energy saving system, named Direct Drive, which ensures a 20% reduction in electricity consumption as against traditional systems. This new section of Sinaia Gondola establishes three national records: the installation reaches the highest altitude in Romania – 2050 meters; in Valea cu Brazi area it reaches the biggest height from the ground ever recorded by an installation of this kind, 120 meters; this installation crosses the steepest segment of a cable installation – 45 degrees at the first three pylons. Soarelui Chairlift was developed for the slopes on the west side, being a modern cable installation with 85 chairs. The retractable cupola, ecological red leather seather, alongside with the silent engines offer tourists the most confortable chairlift trips from Romania. Partia Noua skilift is a babyski set for people learning how to ski or snowboard. It is situated at the end of Partia Noua slope. Throughout the skilift’s distance there is a nocturne installed which is perfectly suited for extended skiing or snowboarding days.
Had a good time and worth a day trip.enjoyed a great trip with gondola up the mountain and the scenery is fantastic. However the restaurant is very limited in choices.

This castle is a little jewel. It is very beautiful. You can take the tour from hour to hour or just visit the gardens and the outside. On the inside, sadly most of it was changed by the communists in a bad way and they also stoled the furniture and pieces of artwork..a terrible shame. Upstairs is a beautiful art gallery with some very fine and original works ( about cartoons, fairytales and animation). I hope it will be restored completely!

I enjoyed 1 week ago an wonderful day on Kalindery sleigh track. In Kalinderu area you can find also ski and snowboard tracks deserved by a nice chairlift. Kalinderu tracks are located below spectacular Caraiman Cross from the Bucegi Mountains hills. Wonderful landscape, good service like parking, restaurants and so on.
