Spacious park with a covered eating area picnic tables and clean washrooms. There is a bicycle trail that passes through the park which makes for a pleasant ride.Trail heads south to the downtown area. Posted in the park is a brass historical plague explaining the history of the canal along with a massive ships anchor. In the height of the warmer months the park is well maintained and the gardens are breathtaking. Not only are the flowers blooming along the pathways but up the various levels to the fountain. Certainly a unique display of colours for the flowers. Once at the top of the fountain there is a viewing spot where you can see the ships travel through Lock 8 giving a great view of the canal and surrounding area. I have see on a few occasions brides and grooms having wedding pictures in front of the beautiful gardens. Certainly worth a stop or to have a picnic lunch. Very close to this area is the Tourist Information Office as well. And another perk parking is free.

Whisky Run Golf Club is just a short drive from Niagara Falls and the Peace Bridge.Whisky Run GC is unique among Niagara golf courses, offering three entirely different golf experiences - the woodland, executive length Owl Course, the watery, links style Serpent Course, and the Parkland Fox Course. Each nine differs not only in appearance but in length and difficulty as well. Designed to challenge yet satisfy golfers of all playing abilities. The course has a good mix of short but challenging par-3's, par-4's of all shapes and sizes, and par 5's that reward strategy and good shot making, including #6 on the Serpent - one of the best Par-5's in Niagara.
What a gem! Short drive from St Kitts and so worth it! Lovely golf course, especially love the "Fox" where you REALLY do see foxes all over the course! Employees so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Stayed for dinner the first time the other night, food was AMAZING! I had the Buffalo chicken wrap which was excellent and my son and cousin had the "Whisky burger" which was absolutely excellent! Fries to die for, seriously. Just a note, if staying to eat, you must go inside to place your order for food at the bar and the servers will bring it out to you on the patio, we weren't aware of this so waited 15 mins without being served before we approached someone.
