If not camping, you have to use the day use beach, with had about 3 ft of beach when we visited. We did not stay. Glad we didn't have to pay to go into this park.

I can't say enough good things about Port Austin Kayak. We stopped by late Saturday afternoon to get information for the following day and ended up shopping their sale. Cashier super friendly and knowledgeable. Sale prices on Columbia apparel excellent. Also had nice t shirts and hoodies not on sale.
Went back first thing Sunday morning and were able to get right out on Kayaks. Again knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Kayaks great. Supply life jackets if needed and sell water, and other accessories you might need. Great Experience.. will be back.

Best market in area... Great venders & everyone is friendly. Lots to chose from. Local farmers with produce, Homemade baked products, honey, granola, salsa, meats, & best fish dip. Go to vendor that only has fresh dip....salmon or white fish.
The other side market has crafts, merchandise to buy... sunglasses, home made soaps, signs, jewelry. Do not miss furniture made out of barn wood .....Need to plan couple hours to see it all. Great fresh roasted coffee & popcorn. Need to try the pizzelle... worth the price- yummy

Huge servings of delicious ice cream. Many flavors to select from in cups, home made waffle cones or regular cones. It is great to sit outside surrounded by beautiful greenery at this little general store tucked into the woods. Order the baby cone and you will be plenty full. Well worth the trip.

On the Lake Huron Lighthouse Trail......at the top of the "thumb" of Michigan. Very accessible public park. Beautiful scenic and panoramic view of the harbor. Port Austin is a lovely little town. About an hour and 45 minutes Northeast of Detroit.

You will appreciate the benefits of the Captain’s knowledge of tackle and fish aboard a boat that has been customized to maximize your fishing experience. With over 30 years of knowledge, Captain Dennis has many successful charters and tournament wins under his belt. He accommodates anglers of all ages & skill levels. Com enjoy a half day or a full day fishing experience on the Great Lakes.
I was very impressed with Captain Dennis and his professionalism. He keeps his boat clean and enjoyable for passengers. But most of all he knows the waters very well and knows where and how to catch some fish! I highly recommend booking your next trip through Fin-Lander Charters! you'll be happy you did.

The Nature Center is a work in progress. We love to stroll the paths through the older growth forest near the lake. Lady Slipper time is an extra special time to visit. This site is open all year round and at all times. Visit in all fours seasons. Wear hunters orange in the fall just in case.

White Church Gallery shows over 25 fine artists from all over Michigan in a renovated 1880's Methodist Church. We carry fine art, wood, glass, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, and more.
I had a difficult time finding the gallery, don't give up it is worth it! The couple who renovated this little old Church from the 1800's has made the building a work of art that now hold many artist works of art. The gallery has...MoreThanks for the kind words. We are located just 5 miles east of Port Austin off M-25. Turn left on Rouse road and you can't miss us! Rybak's ice cream is just across the street.

My favorite place to putt putt. It is so beautiful here and a very fun and sometimes challenging course. Great ice cream inside too.

We count ourselves lucky to have found this oasis in the extensive farmlands and woods. The people were super and the price was fantastic, We had real trouble holding our shots on the greens but had a great round without a lot of golfers pushing our game, Very laid back and freindly
