Spent the day there with the family and had an absolutely great time. Watched the races, rode the go-carts and some of the family tried the zip line. The food was great....You have to try the Jensen Burger!! The track is awesome and there's many great viewing locations throughout the venue.

Now in its 61st year of operation, Wade House historic site is owned and operated by the Wisconsin Historical Society. Set upon 240 rolling acres near the northern reaches of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, the site celebrates the world of plank road stagecoach travel, horse-drawn transportation, and mid-19th-century settlement and town building. The new Wade House Visitor Center and Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum offers a rich array of exhibits providing orientation to the site and its themes. The wonder of Wisconsin's largest collection of carriages and wagons awaits each visitor to the site in the new, state-of-the-art 20,000 square-foot carriage museum. A visit to the site's historic area includes a guided tour of the 27-room stagecoach hotel built in 1850 and active demonstrations by costumed staff in the Dockstader Blacksmith Shop and Herrling Sawmill, which features an up-and-down saw powered by the Mullet River. Visitors are transported to and from the historic area via horse-drawn wagon, or they may enjoy a scenic boardwalk and walking trail. The Visitor Center includes a Gift Store and the Butternut Cafe, which offers lunch to museum visitors or travelers from 11 am - 2 pm daily.
This is a neat historic place to visit. You will see how they cut would for building, a blacksmith, a carriage museum and much more. You can also hitch a ride on a horse buggy. Really neat to see how people lived back in the 1800's.

Open seasonally, May 1- Oct. 31. Botanic Garden based on children's literature in Sheboygan, WI.
I stopped overnight in Sheboygan primarily to visit the Bookworm Gardens & was not disappointed. Even for an adult without children, this place is wonderful. Around every corner is another surprise! The gazebo is a highlight, as is the Little House cabin (which unfortunately was under construction during my visit). Any parents with littles must go here! It’s such a great place for them to explore literature, music, & the beautiful Wisconsin woods.

Bar food is usually just bar food. However, their bar food is really good and consistent! Burgers, steak and chicken sandwiches, and fish have all been tried and approved. Service behind the bar or at the tables is always excellent also. They just do things right.

Who knew there is so much to know about the history of plumbing fixtures? It was actually quite interesting to learn about the Kohler brothers and the birth and growth of their company. The variety of sinks , toilets, and bathtubs available was almost mind-boggling. The history of the planned community is also fascinating. Did not get to take the factory tour, but I imagine that would be a great experience.

We heard about this place from a friend, and tasted one of their brews at a wedding reception so we knew there would be at least one beer that we would like. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. It seemed that most people stop in to enjoy a couple beers and then take their favorite home in a growler.
There are about 8 beers brewed at PBC and then 8 other beers from Wisconsin breweries available.
No food, just fresh popcorn to munch on.

Fireman's Park is just down from the Osthoff Resort and has a very nice beach and some of the clearest water I've seen in a lake. There are various watercraft (non-motorized) available for rental as well as motorized boating, skiing, etc. nearby. Bring your own food or purchase it at the shops nearby (literally across the street). This is a great family adventure.

Be advised of major construction and spa renovation going on at Kohler until June 2018. Perhaps my experience would have been different at a different time, but nevertheless, I was told that the construction would not be disruptive or affect my spa visit. This was not the case. The facility is very nice, but alas, I was not able to truly enjoy any of it due to all of the sawing, drilling, and pounding going on. This was especially evident on the 4th floor whirlpool "relaxation" area and during my massage. I was not able to relax or zone out due to the horrific noise. It was impossible. Listen, if you want to stay open during construction, fine, but be honest about the noise and don't charge people full price for your services! Did I mention, I paid full price? As a frequent spa goer, my very best spa experience in the Midwest is still Spa Shiki in Missouri. My overall best spa visit in North America, was Pillar and Post 100 Fountain Spa, Niagara on the Lake. Sorry, Kohler, my experience was just average at best. Very disappointing.

I thought that it would kind of fun to go for a walk with my children around Plymouth to see the interesting highlights around town. We came across Antoinette, a really big cow statue, which to a small child is pretty impressive. Plymouth is known as "The Cheese Capitol of the World" so having this cow as a landmark is appropriate. It is also "kind of cool" to have your picture taken with it in the background.

Award-winning 36 holes of challenging golf consists of two 18-hole, Pete Dye-designed layouts: River Course and Meadows Valleys Course.
Even this late in the year the course was in awesome shape. I played the meows/valley course. Must have hit it just right as I was able to play 18 in under 2-1/2 hours. Even if it does take longer during the year this is just one of all their courses that you must play.
