Just not a fun place. Unless you are sitting at the bar you can't get timely drinks wherever you gamble....slots, table games, etc. I don't understand....the drinks are not complimentary. Why wouldn't they hire more waitresses? I believe an hour plus wait for someone to come around is absurd. When you pass by the slot machine area you hardly ever hear

You can spend all day on the trails out here, but I would download the AllTrails app so you can keep track of where you are. We got hiking on a trail and did not realize that it was a 6 mile trail before it connected with another one. There were lots of bikers on the trails, most of them are narrow so you will have to move over when bikers are coming through. Trails are well marked on the trees, but since these trails are so long, I would never do this on my own.
Unfortunately, there is an entry fee per person to come to the park – fee includes weekends and holidays

Locals know Graul's as a local store. Brides know that Graul's is a top place to order your cake from. (Unbelievable bakery) But I want to share a catering experience we had. I had to host family and friends for a funeral wake. Grau's is close and professional. I had never hosted anything like this before and they walked me through everything step by step. How much i would need, how it could be served. Graul's delivered right on time and everything was perfect! They thought of everything. We ordered "ring sandwiches" which were maybe 12" in diameter, braided bread with different fillings. They looked so nice set out and tasted delicious. All the other "salads" came ready to go with serving utensils, etc. They arranged platters of bite size treats for desserts, brownies, lemon squares, etc. But the nicest thing was, the driver left a small box in our kitchen all wrapped up filled with lemon bars with a hand written note from Graul's saying that they heard the lemon bars were out favorite and these were a gift from them with their condolences on our loss. Sounds silly, but that meant so much to me at the time.
I do shop at Graul's esp. their bakery (yum!) deli (fresh!) meats and fish. I'm loyal!

We didn't realize our trip to Baltimore coincided with opening day. We managed to buy tickets online the night before and attend the Orioles season opener. What a great experience we had at this beautiful ballpark.

We had a problem with one of our tickets not scanning at the gate. A staff person walked us over to the ticket office and helped get it straightened out, then walked us back through security to be sure we were good.

The Walters Art Museum

Reviewed By Maggi713 - Baltimore, Maryland

Yesterday, we were invited to The Walters Museum to see our grand-daughter’s art work that was being displayed as part of the Baltimore County Public School Student Art Exhibition. We were thrilled – this is the second time her artwork has been selected to hang at The Walters Museum. We were indeed very proud grandparents!

In addition, we took the time to walk thru and enjoy From Rye to Raphael: The Walters Story. This exhibit tells the story about the Walters family gift of art to Baltimore. We viewed 200 works, plus family photographs and historic material taken from the archives.

We were thrilled to see the exhibition: Fabergé and the Russian Crafts Tradition: An Empire’s Legacy. Faberge was a jeweler and goldsmith to the Russian imperial court. Like everyone, we were so taken with the intricate details that went into making a Faberge egg. In addition to creating the most beautiful eggs, Faberge also made rich colored enamels, gold and silver vessels, stunning jewelry and icons. He and his team embodied talent.

The museum is free and wheel chair accessible.

Hubert V. Simmons Museum of Negro Leagues Baseball, Inc.

We are a non-profit, charitable, 501(c)(3) corporate Museum with programs and resources available to all interested in exploring the multi-layered significance of the Negro Leagues Baseball Teams, Players, Owners and Coaches; in addition to their contributions to baseball generally, and the African-American culture specifically.

Though the space at the library/college is small it does give you an understanding of the Negro Leagues. You learn about this part of baseball history that focuses on both the entertainment found in enjoying the sport, but you also appreciate that people were forced to play in a league only for one race. Some did make it to the Major Leagues, but many never were given the chance. And for a number of players their best years were behind them. I liked the photos and objects that illustrated this period. I was only a child of 4 years old when Jackie Robinson came to the Major Leagues with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Later when I understood more about people, both the good and bad, I could never understand why some people were not allowed to be judged solely on their talents.

Baltimore Museum of Art

The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) is home to an internationally renowned collection of 19th-century, modern, and contemporary art. Founded in 1914 with a single painting, the BMA today has 90,000 works of art-including the largest holding of works by Henri Matisse in the world.* The museum is currently undergoing an unprecedented $28 million renovation to provide visitors with a more welcoming environment and more imaginative and inspiring encounters with art. The BMA is remaining open throughout the multi-year project so that visitors can enjoy its outstanding selection of European and American painting and sculpture from the 17th through 20th centuries and the newly reinstalled Contemporary Wing with 14 galleries showcasing the art of our time. Two beautifully landscaped gardens display an array of 20th-century sculpture that is an oasis in the city. The museum's 100th anniversary will be celebrated in November 2014 with the reopening of the grand historic entrance designed by John Russell Pope and a beautiful new presentation of the museum's distinguished collection of American art. Subsequent reopenings include expanded galleries for the African and Asian art collections and a new learning and creativity center that will open in 2015. Since 2006, the BMA has eliminated general admission fees so that everyone can enjoy the power of art. * Many of the BMA's works by Matisse are part of a special exhibition traveling to museums in Indianapolis, Minneapolis, and San Antonio in 2013 and 2014. If you are visiting to see a specific artwork, please call the BMA Box Office to make sure it will be on view.

Let's start with the negative, I would have definitely liked to see more engagement with local artists and better representations from the community

Nonetheless, what an amazing museum. There was so much to get through and the collection is quite widespread. On this day, there was work from Kara Walker that had been installed. The gift shop was a lovely addition and the building is beautiful

Hard to park here , we did have a let parking for the event. I don’t think you can access much of the library in general we understand it is used for research
