I liked the huge windows in the library. In what of its windows we could see a mountain. The first library was in 1882. The library is beige. They have plants. I liked the tower with its clock. There are palm trees as well. The books we well taken care of. A must see!

Located at the far end of Perris, California one will find the Orange Empire Railway Museum (Aka: Southern California Railway Museum) This is the largest train museum and education center of its kind west of The Mississippi River. The museum features lots of passenger and freight cars, steam and diesel-powered locomotives, street cars, exhibits, historic buildings, train maintenance shops, demonstration for different railway lines. Facility is staffed by a large group of volunteers who are willing to answer your questions. If your interested in any aspects of trains, this is the perfect museum to visit. This 16-acre facility has approximately 200 different examples of rolling stock on display ranging from old steam engines to modern coaches. Fascinating display. Spent several hours wandering around looking at these old trains and associated train related paraphernalia items. If your interested in taking a ride on the 1940s streetcar or the operating train, there is a charge of $6.00 per person. Well worth it. During certain times of the year, this facility has special events, such as the Bunny Train (Easter), Polar Express (Christmas), Thomas Train and Pumpkin Patch Express (Halloween). Be sure to bring your camera as you will find a plethora of excellent photo opportunities. The facility has a small gift shop stocked with train related items for sale. Shops, restrooms and ground are clean and mandatory State Corona Virus restrictions are in forced. Masks and social distancing are always required while in the complex. Parking and admission to the museum complex is free. Be advised this facility is not easy to find. Attempted to follow street signs only resulted in getting me lost. Be sure you have directions, prior to heading off to this excellent museum. This museum is a must visit for all train enthusiasts.
