Palma, the economic and cultural hub of Majorca, is a delightful base for exploring the island's many gold and white beaches. A former Moorish casbah, or walled city, Palma's Old Town is an appealing maze of narrow streets that are a delight to explore on foot. Hop on the Soller Railway for a 17-mile scenic trip, visit 14th-century Bellver Castle and the museum of contemporary art, and check out the nightlife.

We were having a wander around palma and stumbled upon this market. Fantastic, great little bars offering delicious tapas surrounded by stalls selling fresh produce. The place had a brilliant buzz to it. Do something different, visit a market

Absolutely gorgeous beach. You will find numerous reviews on how to get there. It does involve a walk, and then a mountainous walk (not very long). The path down is steep and requires some consideration and careful walking, but it is worth it. Watch the tides if you want to lie on the sand. If high tide you will be sitting on rocks which aren't particularly comfortable. It gets busy too. A popular spot, well worth the trouble of getting to. We read a few reviews about it being a nudist spot. Not when we were there.

A royal palace has stood on this site since soon after the Arab conquest.
I visited Palma at the end of February and between being a weekend, Carnival, crazy hours or simply not available many attractions were closed. This one was not closed and it has good long hours regardless of the day of the week or the season. For me, based on availability and content, this was the best the see in Palma. Other places, like the Cathedral is has short hours allowed for visiting or others like the Arab Baths are overrated. Make this your priority, it makes sense, it is beautiful inside-out!

Uncover the many secrets hidden in the seas and oceans. Set sail on an adventure you will never forget across the Mediterranean to the tropical seas. Explore the Jungle and enjoy the sunshine in our gardens while the children play on the pirate's ship or cool off in the water fountain. Marvel at the immensity of the Big Blue, the deepest shark tank in Europe. Visit Palma Aquarium and go with the flow!
One of the best aquariums I’ve ever visited. Big with lots to see, a beautiful outdoor area and many opportunities available at extra cost to snorkel with rays, go on the shark boat etc. Lovely outside area to have lunch and explore, definitely worth spending a morning here!
