Rowlee is a single vineyard producer of cool climate wines located in Orange, New South Wales. Our tasting room is open everyday between 11am and 5pm for tastings and wine sales. Wines are also available for purchase by the glass or bottle to enjoy on the deck overlooking the vineyard.
We went there straight after a 2 hours hike looking for food too. Found this little winery with a very friendly and informative young woman who was excellent in helping my young niece learn about their wines and explained about the grapes and processes and all. Was excellent!
We bought the Late Harvest Riesling yum yum

De Salis Wines is a small winery/cellar door at Lofty Vineyard on the northern slopes of Mt Canobolas in the Orange Wine Region, Central Tablelands of NSW. We focus on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sparkling wine in the traditional method. Our winemaking philosophy is Minimal Intervention, natural ferments, low low sulphur additions, unfeigned and unfiltered, vegan wines.Wines are grown, made, bottled and sold on site. We do have a tasting fee if guests decide not to purchase wine after tasting.
Nice place to visit for a wine tasting, though they need to offer a cheese plate or something to nibble on while your tasting.

What an amazing experience.
We've done a few wine tours, all over Australia but both feel this was our best one yet.
Brad, our host, was very well informed on the area, chose a small number of excellent wineries, where he knew the owner well, resulting in us getting an inside view on the winery and a lot of great information.
We overran by 2 hours (although Brad checked that this was ok), and we did not feel rushed at all.
At the end, he even offered to come back into Orange to collect us for free if we wanted to stay for dinner.
From the outset, really good customer service from a genuine enthusiast.

Situated in the picturesque bush settings of the Central Ranges, Stockman's Ridge Wines have a vision of producing premium cool climate wines. Nestled in the West of Orange, the vineyard sits at an altitude of 780 metres. Their stunning tree lined driveway and new vineyard lead you to the relaxed and intimate cellar door where you'll discover wines that are a true expression of the unique qualities and character of the region. Wines with elegance and complexity, with beautiful balance and length. Serious wine lovers will find much to absorb them and much to discuss with Jonathan, Owner and Winemaker or the experienced cellar door staff.
The wines were pleasant, but nothing to knock your socks off. The tasting room experience was odd. The owner's mother was pleasant and welcoming, but happily admitted she knew nothing about wine. A recipe for a somewhat underwhelming wine tasting experience.

We were doing the mandatory wine tastings when we came across small acres cider. Very tasty and different cider to the mass produced ones.
Picnic items are available as well and this would be a great place to unwind and soak up the peace and quiet of country living. The resident dog is also very friendly and loves visitors.
Well worth going to when in orange.

Heifer Station Wines is a small family owned and operated single vineyard tasting room in one of Oranges most picturesque areas. Set in a turn of the century, historic sheep shearing shed on rolling volcanic terroir. At almost 900m elevation the vineyard is truly cool climate. Feed the chooks, goats and pony. Varietals and Styles include: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Rose, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Shiraz. Our newest wine is Genisse a Methode Australis Chardonnay/Pinot sparkling. "With respect for the earth, and a whole lot of Altitude - The fruit does the talking! That's the Heifer Station Way. We then add the love to create elegant single vineyard wines you will want to enjoy again and again"

We live on Hillside Harvest apples, pears, cherries, apricots, peaches etc depending what's in season all year round. If we're every somewhere else and I need to buy supermarket fruit, my kids always ask "what's wrong with this apple?" They really can't understand why anyone...MoreThank you Kate for your lovely review! We are so pleased to hear that you enjoy our apples and our newly refurbished farm stall as much as we do :-)

The park is always a beautiful place. However my most recent visit was with my mother in a wheelchair. The paths in general were difficult to navigate with some being so far from level that I feared for my mother's safety. Ensuring access for wheelchairs, prams etc should be a priority. Our beautiful park must be able to be enjoyed by all.
