The Weavers Factory is a Grade-II listed contemporary art gallery in Saddleworth, Greater Manchester with three art galleries, a gift shop, a workshop, private walled garden and a tea-room for refreshments.
This really is a lovely gallery/event space. Nigel and Julian are a delight and most welcoming hosts. The array of events and exhibitions - something different every month to feast your eyes and feed your senses are truly beautiful. If you are in Saddleworth make sure you drop in and read all about Joan and the current artist exhibiting.

Located in the very heart of Oldham, the Coliseum Theatre is venerable building with a history stretching back to 1885.We serve a vibrant cross section of the community with an award winning selection of comedy, drama & traditional panto. The history of Oldham Coliseum Theatre spans a period of 128 years making it one of the oldest theatres in Britain still operating today. The theatre is also widely considered as the true home of traditional pantomime and produces a new production each year attracting delighted audiences of over 35,000. The Coliseum Theatre dates back to 1885 when it began life as the Grand American Circus and Hippodrome. Situated in the heart of Oldham and surrounded by almost a dozen other theatres, almost 125 years later, the award winning Coliseum is the only surviving theatre in the town. The Coliseum stage has seen countless performers over the years from comedy greats Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel to fledgling movie stars such as Ralph Fiennes and Minnie Driver. Many of the stars of Manchester staple Coronation Street have also cut their teeth treading the boards at the Coliseum. Oldham Coliseum Theatre is one of the most established and well attended venues in the North West where it produces eight in-house shows each year. It is also operates as a receiving house for touring productions, visiting companies and special one-night events. The Coliseum as we know it today has recently undergone a £1.5M facelift and renovation with improved seating, heating and front of house facilities bringing the venue up-to-date with modern theatre-goers' demands. The auditorium has a capacity of 524 seats, in addition the theatre has a studio space with a more intimate capacity of 50 seats. The inhouse and touring productions seen on the main stage each year offer a balanced programme of drama, comedy, musical, new writing and the annual pantomime.
Been here lots of times, great night out, great bar, lovely theatre, even bumped into Noddy Holder, from Slade.

We are a farm park located in Chadderton, Oldham. We have more than 200 animals spread over 25 acres of scenic countryside in the valley of the River Irk. Our traditional looking farm buildings house our stables and our Petting Barn where you are able to handle our smaller animals or bath our tortoise with staff on hand to help. Visitors are able to purchase feeding buckets to feed to the animals along the way. We have several rides/ games including our Caterpillar Barrel Ride, Digger Corner, Mini Quads and Pirate Shootout. We have 2 spacious outdoor play areas with swings, slides and zip lines.
We took our Grandson and had a lovely morning walking in nature, feeding the animals and playing in the park and also went on the Caterpillar Ride. All felt very safe and we will be back very soon and thank you to the friendly staff xxx

The weather has picked up,i hate walking in the rain,so after setting off from Chadderton,I'd decided on Tandle Hills. It takes me just over an hour of walking to get there, from Royton, Rochdale road looks so long, then you turn onto Tandle Hill road & that's another long walk,it may have been cold, but by now i've warmed up. Reaching the gates,my final goal was the monument up at the top, this looks out all across Oldham,Rochdale,Manchester & a far, especially on a good clear day.(this wasn't one) Then it's only one way & that's down,i took the steps, careful when wet, when you reach the bottom, still a few different ways to go. On this occasion while i was heading back,i had two deer run out in front of me,i never knew they were up there.. Making my way back, plenty of others walking & using the park. There is a cafe, with outdoor seating, but today it was closed, take your own it's probably cheaper.. Overall at this current time it's a place to let your problems & thoughts blow in the breeze.
