Oakabella is open everyday of the week for camping and accommodation. The tea rooms and tours operate every day except Wednesdays at 10am and 2pm. Oakabella is set on 1100 acres of farmland. Diverse ancient landmarks.Rich in indigenous culture. The complex is rare in its entactness and comprising of a 13 roomhomestead, 2 storey buttressed barn. blacksmith shop, huge shearing shed and stables., because of the closeness of the stone buildings it works as a visual coherent whole
My partner and I camped overnight at Oakabella and thoroughly enjoyed the dinner boxes made by chef Jodie! They had the best pork ribs and jalapeno poppers we had ever tasted! The facilities were also well maintained. Overall, we had a great expereince!

We stayed here for a night on the way to Exmouth and we certainly found a hidden gem! Benny and Jock were such fantastic hosts, lovely people and you could feel the love they have for the injured animals in their sanctuary. The animal feeding was an incredible experience- we got the full story and how each animal has been rehabilitated, such amazing work they both do. Everyone should try to stop off here over staying in a standard campsite for an experience you will never forget!

There is an air of yesteryear about the store. The lady we met has familia knowledge of the town and history. There is a small section set aside for last century sewing machines. You don’t need to sew to appreciate the turn of the century machines made with great skills. The wood work alone can appreciated. The shop itself has a great selection of men’s boots, real Aussie acubras and work cloths. The bits and bobs were there for the ladies. Worth a look and an experience to visit.

Northampton Visitor Centre is located in the Old Police Station in the town centre. Visit us for local information on accommodation, events, surrounding districts, beaches, attractions and eateries. We can also book TransWA and Integrity Coach tickets.
Great place to visit for local information and to see the Northampton RSL military history display from the district. The volunteers were welcoming and provided lots of interesting information. Gifts to purchase were varied and were so well priced. Fly nets (always popular in the country areas) were plentiful at a most remarkable price of only $4 – the cheapest in WA!! The air conditioned historical display was very interesting and well-presented and very well worth spending time reading. We went back twice in one week. The location has changed to the Northampton RSL Museum Hall at the north end of town. Note to Trip Advisor - They need to change the building photo on this website to the new premises.
