We drove from Byron only takes an hour. It’s our first time visiting Nimbin. Feel like everyone is lovely in this small town. So many cool stop along the street. You have to go in one by one to explore little things. This shop give me the most warmest service and found they have lots of amazing stuff you could not find in Sydney. So highly recommend!

Nimbin candles contain no animal products and the dyes we use are vegetable dyes, the same used in batik art. We have the only Water Driven Dipping Deck, manufacturing up to 1500 perfect tapers at a time. Come and see how the candles are made. We are open to the public 7 days a week. There’s plenty of parking and turning space for large vehicles and buses. Groups are welcome.

These ancient rock formations are part of the vast Tweed caldera. They are of great significance to the indigenous Bundjalung people of this area and photograph beautifully; especially at sunset. I am lucky enough to have this as the view from my farm and I never tire of it as the faces and forms in the rocks constantly change with the light and bring me peace. They are awesome.

The work we have includes painting, etching, felting and other textiles, photography, printing, sculpting and woodwork. The gallery hosts the annual Nimbin Autumn and Spring Arts Extravaganzas.

Whilst there are always market looking stalls on the main street of Nimbin, Nimbin Markets operates down and around the rainbow coloured Community Centre on Cullen street, every 4th and 5th sunday of every month. And the REAL magic occurs around the main stage, which is through the main gate of the Community Centre, and down at the back of the grounds. Our market has high morals, and we like to keep everything Handgrown, Handmade, Fair-trade, or Recycled as much as possible. So we have local produce, a variety of healers, excellent recycled and vintage wares, various unique art forms, like wool sculpting, hand crafted leather goods, artisan wood furniture, absolutely incredibly crafted bone carvings, local and organic soap, international food, a variety of unique jewellery, plants, and an amazing main stage where endless playing, jamming, and improvised magic happens between a diverse array of musicians and sound sculpturists. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! It's the vibe, the family feel and the love that really hit the average visitor.
The Sunday market in Nimbin is a great place to spend a few hours. There is always some great live music & you may even chance it to hear me singing :) I live here & this has been my town since 1992. This market is a terrific family day, although people are asked to leave their pets at home as the area is not very large. That being said, it seriously lacks nothing. The food is great, and you will be able to purchase beautiful local honey, cakes, pastries & fresh wood fired, sour dough bread that will make your mouth water. Great coffee. Great hand made gifts from a variety of materials such as glass, wood, fabric & metal. Lots of great clothes, both new & 2nd hand, and plenty to look at. I would recommend this market to everybody. And once you feel like sitting down for a coffee & more cake, why don't you cross the road & join the locals at the Oasis Cafe. I just know you will love it.
