Located in the Nauvoo State Park, the museum features a stone-arched wine cellar and original 150-year-old winemaking equipment. The original home of four rooms was built in the 1840's. Alois Rheinberger added four more rooms in 1850, plus the wine cellar. The Nauvoo Historical Society has staffed the museum since 1954. It is to preserve an important part of Nauvoo's history that is unique to the site. Open May 15th – Oct 15th or by appointment.

Located on the western border of Illinois and situated on the wide bend of the Mississippi River, Press House Winery is a small, family-owned and operated vineyard and winery. Koechle Vineyards has been in operation since the early 1900's and has continually produced grapes. Come visit our tasting room and sample our wines for yourself. We assure you that you won't be disappointed.
Excellent and friendly service. My favorite is Oriole's wine which is a sweet white wine, smooth. I love the story behind the name of this wine as my Grandmother was dear to my heart. Definitely one to check out as well as all the other wines.

Stopped in for a wine tasting and to buy a couple bottles of local wine, goose berry jam and rhubarb preserves. In retrospect we should have ordered a rhubarb pie for pickup the next day. Maybe next trip.

Tribute to Mormon industry and vision. Glimpse of 1840's life in Illinois' 2nd largest city. Beautiful location on banks of the Mississippi. Restored homes and shops. Horse-drawn wagon rides. Pioneer craft demonstrations. Live entertainment. Free to the public. Open 365 days a year.
I just completed a very wonderful Virtual Tour with some amazing Sister Missionaries at the Nauvoo Visitor Center. This tour brought back some great memories for me because I've been there in person, but it's been several years ago and this brought it all back to life for me. They also taught me several things that I didn't learn when I was at the Nauvoo Visitor Center and looking around on my own. So I really appreciated their knowledge about the early Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint Pioneers and their history. This is an experience I would highly recommend for everyone to take advantage of. One of the best parts was I had this experience from the comfort of my own home in Utah! No flights, no rental cars, no hotels, no other travel expenses and all I needed was a internet connection and zoom. Thank you Sisters!

Open late into night. Very empty during winter season. Great location. Playground restrooms and parking lot very nice.
The global flood really happened, the Bible confirms it, the rocks confirm it, and we believe it! The Flood Museum brings it all alive. Join us and experience the global flood, just as the Bible described it.
