The Monroe Reptile Zoo is home to the most diverse collection of Reptiles in the Pacific Northwest with over 85 species from across the world. Here you will have the opportunity to get up close and personal to these magnificent creatures.
We took our 4 grand-children here in April 2017. This is a great place to see reptiles and other wildlife that you don't see especially this close. We saw many of the world's most deadly reptiles, all of which have their poison removed. We got to pet an iguana, touch a turtle, and stare an alligator in the eye. We would definitely return here again.

When I feel like shopping for that vintage piece for my home, this is close and lovely.
Many shops to explore through out Snohomish's historic district down town. Shop till you drop, then stop at the Cabbage Patch restaurant for some lunch. O
They have wonderful lunches and soups.

This is a gem, not worth missing. If you love tractors and historic implements, you will love your walk through this little museum, located at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. There is working machinery, run by hand started pulleys and belts, including a waterwheel; there are miniature train sets that actually work, a mine shaft, tons of farm implements and "old timey" appliances and inventions that today's kids never knew existed, even a hand crank phone and an Edison sound machine. If you play your cards right, you can participate in making your own piece of rope and help grind corn...and often the tractors and outdoor equipment is fired up for visitors. It is free to tour, but runs completely off donations, I highly recommend taking the little ones and while you have to keep an eye on them so they don't touch some of the precious pieces, there are switches they hit to turn on a number of machines and can even try out the old phones. A must see if you visit the Fair, or any time there is an event going on, check to see if the museum is open! Great time was had by all!

My family (of 3) drove over to Monroe, WA from Enumclaw, WA to enjoy and watch a wakeboarding competition on July 9th. I couldn't tell you the last time I went to Monroe, if ever! Now I am a little disappointed I couldn't have enjoyed the drive more, this park is a great little area. The water where the competition was looked clean and the roads to park and walk were clean and picked up from litter.
The day trip itself was a wonderful one, the town and the area made it so much better. I felt my vehicle was safe at all times as there were cops patrolling the area in cruisers as well as walking around.
All in all, great area and I will be back for the next competition!

Had a great night with friends coming out and watching the Semi Truck races and Figure 8's! THe Beer garden is the best, it's on the first turn and it has a little Stadium seating up high enough for a great view and bathrooms right there, we never needed to leave the beer garden! Oh and people watching was fantastic LOL!

It is a self-proclaimed five-star, dive bar.. Seriously, my husband and I are not of the younger set, but we go there for dinner once or twice a week. The menu is diverse and not your typical pub food. The beer selections includes old standards as well as local craft beers. There is wine and amazing mixed drinks Dunn expertly by the staff. Speaking of staff, they are professionals in every sense of the word! We have been going there for decades to come and seriously invite you to check it out for yourself. The owner and staff are professionals and will take care of you.

This museum is right off Highway 2 on the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. It is a delightful look into the past with hands on activities for the kids. The staff is warm and welcoming.

You need to check this place out. It is a small locally owned distillery; distilleries like this are up and coming just like the microbreweries of the last decade. You've got to check this place out - it was a fantastic place to visit full of simple charm, friendly service and fantastic bourbon and liquors. Everything they sell is made right there. The work room where all the drinks are made is completely visible to the tasting room and store (and not blocked with any glass - you're right there practically in the workroom). The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The drinks they make are exceptional, especially the bourbon and rye whisky of which they had several. They also had white rye whisky which I had never heard of. Fun new experience and located in the historic district of Snohomish, WA.

Dozens of reptiles are on display at the Serpentarium.
This is an indoor zoo filled with many different kinds of reptiles: snakes, iguanas, turtles, alligators and crocodiles! Great information and up close viewing. Turtles can be touched and, if you ask and are there at the right time (not allowed just before feeding time!), you can even hold some snakes!
It's a bit smelly inside, but be sure to bring your camera to take lots of pictures.
This is one of our son's favorite places!

Support your local farmer! This blueberry farm is located in the Snohomish Valley and prides itself in being one of the premier blueberry farms in the area. Get here early! Parking is limited and this site is incredibly popular.
For new berry pickers, the process is as follows: grab a bucket, go into the orchard and collect as many blueberries as you can. Current cost is right around two dollars, two dollars and a quarter per bucket. Get ready to get dirty...but in a fun and delicious way! These berries are ripe for picking, and there are a variety of sizes to choose from. And the best part is you can sneak a taste from time to time just to make sure you picked the best berry bush!
HINT: There were four in our party, and we picked nearly eight pounds of berries in a little over an hour.
HINT: Wear clothes you don't mind getting stained. Sometimes a berry gives up its juice right onto your shirt!
HINT: There is a hand washing station on site, so once you are done picking, you can wash the purple off your fingers!
HINT: Go early in the morning in order to avoid bees and other pickers. Parking is limited.
