Nice park to sit in and admire the view and get a bit of shade on a hot day. Tower was closed when we visited but I think you could possibly go up it from where you would get an even better view.

The ticket office for the climb is across the street from the Santuario. Our two guides strapped us into harnesses an fit us with helmets, and we walked across the street . The access to the magnificent cupola is through passages in the walls of the Santuario, stairs, and some ladders (on the ladders your harness is hooked onto a safety brake). There are about 250 steps overall, up 75 meters, and the climb is quite a workout. Our guides were informative and animated. One spoke English quite well, and the other understood us, but was a little reluctant to speak. All of us had a lot of fun.
The views of the cupola and the rest of the church were spectacular. I recommend it highly.

I had already visited other caves in the area (Grotte del Caudano), and I was pleased by the experience so I decided to repeat it. The Grotte dei Dossi are truly a hidden gem: the 1km, 1h long tour shows great natural beauty, amazing colors and different scenarios at a constant temperature of 9ºC. Also the area around the caves is nice for a hike before or after the visit, making it for a good half day plan.

The caves are spectacular and imposing - 1300 steps, about 2 km walk, temperature 9°C. The guided tour took about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The place is not easy to reach. After getting off the motorway, it's an endless series of roundabouts with a plethora of street signs but confusing directions. Once you get there, the entrance is easy to miss: there's a huge "Bar" sign and a tiny "Grotte di Bossea ticket office" sign.
Overall well worth a day trip.

A very nice and well mantained reserve where have a stroll and see some bird, the place is very nice and perfect for a day out.
Normally I take the entrance near the gas station but you can enter in the area also from other entrance. From the gas station a 10/15 walk take you to a group of birdhide where you can see some very nice bird, the majority of the birdhide are not perfect for photography because they are not so low on the water level but I had some great days here. The only downside is that I never saw the bar open.. but is there :)

Beautiful piazza, not over restored and as a first taste of Italy for us made us feel were in something very authentic. A good array of shops, bars and restaurants. We there during a fiesta when the piazza and surrounding streets were decorated with multi colored umbrellas, the whole place looked fantastic.

New attraction: you can go to the dome of this Santuario “Regina Montis Regalis”. "À ne pas manquer." The visit takes about one hour.

Visita a tratti commovente. Senti Dio vicino. La chiesetta è ricavata dentro la grotta. Come del resto ogni altro ambiente. Senti, ogni tanto, stilare l'acqua dal tetto. Una preghiera e continui il tour. Alla fine ti senti rinato. Sei quasi tentato a rimanere.

It's a funicular from Mondovi downtown to the upper part of the city. It is date back to the first part of the last century and it was totally refurbished but still having a similar aspect. Probably they should avoid to design the shuttle itself too modern as they did but anyway it is an exciting experience. One ticket cost 1.3 euro and it is a round ticket. It could be nice during the summer came to "Piazza" , the name of the upper part of Mondovi , having dinner and going back to the dawn , really romantic . suggested
