Good little zoo for a great price. Really toddler friendly and it was easy to navigate as it is smaller. The animal pens are kind of sad as they are very small and the large cats seems unhappy, but the goats were fun for the kids.

This is a really interesting museum for North Dakota air history.
Note that the address listed in TripAdvisor is incorrect. The air museum is actually near in the Minot airport on the northeast side of town.
The museum hangers have many beautiful historical aircraft many of which still operate and are used in airshows. We loved the variety of aircraft.

Weather permitting we love to go to Oak Park to eat lunch. The road wanders through and traffic is slow and quiet. You can pull off and eat in your car or use an open or covered picnic table. There is a great hiking trail that is 1.42 miles and very pleasant. There are a couple amphitheaters which hold summer concerts. There is a splash park for kids and a large grouping of playground equipment. There is a volleyball area and lots of open space to play ball or catch some rays. There are many old oak trees to provide shade too. Just don't bring any pets. Only service animals allowed.

Located in Minot, North Dakota, Dakota Square Mall is located close to Minot Air Force Base and just 50 miles from Canada. The mall offers great shopping at four department stores: Herberger's, JCPenney, Sears and Target, and includes a full-line up of stores like Aeropostale, American Eagle Outfitters, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Bath & Body Works, Kay Jewelers, Old Navy, Scheels and Victoria's Secret. A Food Court, Carmike Cinemas and a Sleep Inn & Suites with an indoor waterpark are all located at the mall.
Went shopping to the mall on a Wednesday - it was not very busy. A number of families with small children were enjoying the play area. There were sales in most of the stores. Shopping at this mall is fun since it provides a good mix of large stores and smaller shops. I appreciate the large seating area which offers a view in all directions. It’s great to have this area for taking periodic rests. Even if you are not in the mood for shopping, the mall provides an opportunity to get some exercise walking from one end to the other since it is all on one level. There is also plenty of parking.

The Minot Railroad Museum concentrates on displays of regional railroading that helped develop Minot. It has three display rooms full of memorabilia; a basement features a model railroad layout. Entry is free, but contributions are accepted. June through August, the museum operates a 2/5 scale Great Northern locomotive that pulls passenger cars through Roosevelt Park. We met about eight railroad enthusiasts in railroad garb with railroad logos on their shirts and caps. They were all very friendly, they asked where we were from, and they encouraged us to ask about the displays. One gave us tips about other local attractions and told us the rodeo was in town.

This restored Depot in Minot houses a good selection of Railroad Memorabilia and is sited right next to conventional running lines.
There is ample parking and the entrance is through the research library, so I was left to my own devises regarding my visit. Plenty of interesting things to see and well worth a visit.

The Magic City Discovery Center was a great place to take our 1 year old and 3 year old. The facility has many fun and educational hands-on activities and stations. Their staff was knowledgeable and friendly too. We were there for 2 hours but the kids would have loved to stay longer! Check their Facebook page for special days, events and activities.

We went for a run while waiting for our meal. We had over an hour before our table would be ready. So, we took the time to exercise. Running north along the river walk starting at the Guenther house is nearly three and a half miles. Round trip it was a very decent run and is also more touristy scenic going north then is going south. Going south is also good option, but it is far more natural and has less decorations.
