Campus has so much charm and appeal with its Georgian buildings and beautifully landscaped grounds. All the new buildings have kept with the old architecture on the outside adding to its appeal. Students are friendly and willing to help strangers. The buildings are spread out so be prepared to walk the hills.

I was away on business and brought my best friend with me. We were headed to visit a client and saw this park while driving through the mountains, and pulled over to admire the natural beauty. The falls are beautiful, and it was a great stop for a summer morning. Would highly recommend for a picnic lunch or just to sit by the falls and appreciate the beauty. Nothing crazy or exciting, just beautiful natural scenery.

We cordially invite you to sample our wonderful variety of over 30 different wines! Our 19th-century barn houses wine-making and hosts free daily tastings of our full line of wines. You do not need an appointment, just drop in during our regular business hours, as we are open 7 days a week year-round. You are also welcome to bring some snacks and enjoy our deck overlooking our vineyards. We also have locations in Riverside ( outside of Danville) and Millheim.
Visited Shade Mountain several times in recent years and love this place more each time! The setting is wonderful and the display/tasting room is really neat - old wooden beams and structure exposed. Outdoor patio/deck offers fantastic views! Oh, don't forget the wine - great variety, wonderful tastes and reasonably priced. Love the pineapple wine!

Took the weekday guided tour with my grandson (5 yr). On the guided tour, you go the pace of the guide/group and it takes roughly a little over an hour to complete. The guides are knowledgeable and answer any of your questions. It's truly a labor of love for the owners and a small herd of volunteers.
This is a sanctuary and not a zoo, so there is a chance you will not see many of the animals, especially when it is hot. They don't force the animals to come to the walking path areas and offer them cover where they can hide/play and feel safe/relaxed. You have a chance to feed the deer, but no other animals. The animals are respected and left alone in that respect.
All admission fees go toward the care of the animals. Once they arrive; they have a forever home. Admission fees are cash only, but they do accept credit cards for gift shop purchases.
If you go on the weekend, you can tour at your own pace and see the aviary (separate admission fee) with over 500 birds. The gate is closed once the guided tours start. There are many picnic tables available to use for lunch/snack after the tours but nothing else really to do there.
Well worth a stop if you are in the area.
NOTE**GPS is unreliable to get there. Use it to get to Pennsylvania Creek and then you need to find Troxelville Road; go a mile and you'll see the sign to turn off and go to the sanctuary.

Boomerangs is a bar (mostly a biker bar to be more specific) that also has a restaurant with it. Clean place and a decent variety on the menu. The food was very good. Service was ok (our server was the bartender and initially seemed annoyed that we want to sit at a table and have lunch instead of just drinking at the bar). It would be a nice place to stop if you're out for a drive.

Short lines, good popcorn, clean facilities and variety of movies though sometimes short time span for availability. Had one experience of their computers not working for taking credit/debit cards and so now carry cash when going there

Reptiles and amphibians from around the world await discovery at this world-class specialized zoo. Explore the realm of mambas, cobras, vipers, pythons, and other rare and beautiful snakes. Experience giant alligators, gentle tortoises, curious lizards, and colorful frogs. Stunning naturalistic habitats, fun interactive exhibits, live shows, and hands-on animal encounters make Reptiland an educational adventure for the whole family. Reptiland is a year-round destination with modern indoor exhibits. During warmer months, tortoises, iguanas, and Komodo dragons venture into outdoor habitats. Seasonal exhibits and special events make each visit unique. Amazing animals, personal attention, and friendly experts--an intimate wildlife connection!
We stopped late in the day on a Sunday as we were passing by. It was only an hour and a half before closing but still left us plenty of time to see everything. We saw the last part of the reptile show which was included in admission. There is a aviary that has hundreds of colorful parakeets that will fly by you. For a dollar or two they will give you a popsicle stick with bird food attached. The kids loved that they would fly over and land on it. My favorite part was the Robotic Dinosaurs. They moved, squirted water and made noise. They have several reptiles/Snakes that I have never seen in person before. Very cool place!

Well worth a visit! A hidden gem in the town of Northumberland. The volunteer staff is knowledgeable and friendly and make you feel like family. The house tour is informative and well worth the small admission charge. The small gift shop has great items to help remember your visit. Highly recommend a visit to learn more about Joseph Priestley and his family and how his discoveries changed our nation. (Helpful tip when visiting: cash or check only for admission and gift shop items).

The Campus Theatre is a 501c3 non-profit historic movie theatre located in Lewisburg, PA. Built in 1941, and one of the few remaining single screen art deco movie houses in the country, the Campus Theatre remains dedicated to the promotion of the art of cinema and historic preservation of this architectural treasure.
The university has done a great job is utilising this former cinema to support its programmes while also preserving the heritage of a vintage building. The interior decor is impressive, the seating is comfortable and the acoustics excellent. Well done Bucknell.

Enjoy the self-guided exhibits, video, hands-on workbench and restrooms at the modern Visitor Center. Build your own miniature buggy. Take the guided tour through the only intact 19th century buggy factory as well as the buggy maker's family home, carriage house, and showroom. Open April through October, limited hours during winter, call for details. See web site for special events and programs.
This is a good example of local history nicely exhibited. Guided tours include the Snyder Visitor Center, the original buggy factory and Repository. You can just visit the Visitor's Center or take the entire tour. There are separate fees. Wall posters and copies of original photos depict the early carriage making industry in Mifflinburg and the families that operated the Coach works. There are displays of tools, horse shoes, tires, wheels, paints and account books. The Visitor Center also contains a beautifully restored carriage. The house has much of the original furnishings. It is certainly worth a visit. The complex is open Thursday through Saturday April through October and Saturdays in November, December and March.
