It is situated between the hamlets of Coram and Ridge, to the west and east, respectively, and Rocky Point and Yaphank to the north and south. There is a lot of history, nature and fun to be had at the national seashore. Whatever you come for, plan the day around your visit. Walk, sunbathe or just enjoy!

The beautifully landscaped and maintained 25 Acre Country Fair Recreation and Amusement Facility has been part of the Long Island community since the early 70's and has become a place of important family history and community connections for generations. The 25 acre beautifully landscaped park offers a one of a kind outdoor figure eight Go-Kart track, one of the last remaining 30 bay driving ranges on LI, batting cages, Spin-Zone Bumper cars ( Will be opening this season as our newest attraction), and two of the most scenic 18 hole Mini Golf Courses . The place itself is well done, very scenic, and layed out well. The restaurant is fine looking as well. The only problem I had with the place is the thug-like patrons. Not enough White People, and too many non-whites. Unfortunately they can't do very much about this. I don't know if I will go back.

Okay, I get it. If you want to get to CT from middle Long Island, then this is the way to go. The Orient Point Ferry takes you to New London, which is much further North and Bridgeport.
And I guess you could award it "Excellence" because it always stays on top of the water. But, the ferries are dated inside, uncomfortable seats, smelly rest rooms, VERY unhealthy food, liquor, wine and beer (not the best idea for people who are driving)and the worse part NO INTERNET. I mean, come on, how hard would it be to provide WiFi on these boats? So, Yeah, I will continue to use it because I have no choice. And perhaps the issues I described above will remain because the Steamboat Company knows there is no competition. So why bother?

Come to learn or enjoy the scenery or both. This is great for kids and older folks who just want to walk in a safe, natural setting.

Beautiful land with great vinifera grapes. Relaxing and such comfort for wine tasting. Was driving to Montauk, and saw the sign "wine tasting every day", had to stop. The place was amazing so much grapes. The area for the tasting was totally comfortable and invited to stay. Had a couple of sparkling wine tasting, and bought some wine

The Beer Fest at the Pennysaver Amphitheater was a great event. The beer tasting was very varied and plentiful. The music was fun and danceable. The food was sufficient to keep you going for the 3 hours of Beer Tasting.

I have been to several national cemeteries and this one is great like so many others. It is very well taken care of and neat.
Notable graves include:
Lt. Michael P. Murphy, Navy SEAL (of 'Lone Survivor' fame).
WWII and Korean War fighter ace, Gabby Gabreski.
BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE NEARBY GRUMMAN MEMORIAL PARK
which has an A-6 Intruder and F-14 Tomcat on display in a nice little park environment.

Wouldn't go anywhere else to see a movie. Buy tickets in advance online due to smaller theaters shows will sell out. Always is crowded so parking may be an issue get there early because there is usually a line for snacks.

Cedar has always been my favorite north shore beach. It always feels like that even if it's crowded, like July 4th, there is still plenty of space on the beach. It's great for younger kids because there usually isn't a strong undertow. Most of the time everyone's polite, friendly, and neat.
