This was a very powerful and beautifully sad memorial. Though small, it captures the horrors of this dark time in human history.

South Beach

People watching is a great pastime in Miami's South Beach, which draws celebrities and beautiful people in skimpy swim attire to see and be seen. The wide and fine, white sand-covered beaches are popular spots for fashion photo shoots, so you're sure to see models. The area is known for its hip clubs and wild nightlife as well as numerous excellent restaurants.

Lots has already been said about this beach. One of the popular spots in the world known for white sand, warm waters, great beach side restaurants, beach walk way etc etc. Efforts taken to keep the place safe, secure and clean are worth appreciation. You can spend hours amidst the serenity of this beach, soaking up some sun or just watch people strolling, working out, dancing and enjoying themselves. Great getaway during chilly winters - just pack your beach wear and a pair of shades and you are all set. Advisable to not drive a car to this place because parking is painful and expensive. Uber/Lyft is the right choice.

Art Deco Historic District

An area of Miami Beach noted for its concentration of over 800 Art Deco buildings all within one square mile. Consider joining the walking tour which takes you past the white- and pastel-colored stucco buildings beautifully restored to their former splendor thanks to the Miami Design Preservation League.

I flew in from SoCal which has quite a bit of Art Deco in its own right, especially in and around Los Angeles, and Miami has an absolute treasure trove of architectural gems to admire! The area is also pretty clean, easily walkable and for those into the nightlife aspect, the bars/clubs are hoppin' well after dark. Miami has a very distinct brand of Art Deco that differs from the more grandiose buildings in places like NYC (think Chrysler Building), Detroit (think Guardian Building) and LA (think Eastern Columbia Building). The beauty in these smaller structures lie in the subtle pastel colors of the facades, the sleek, aerodynamic linework, and the sheer extravagance of their neon lights at night. I highly recommend visiting during the day and night because each visit gives you a different experience. Definitely a lovely place.

Espanola Way

Española Way is a historic street between 14th and 15th street on Miami Beach, stretching from Washington Avenue to the western corners of Drexel Avenue. Española Way is a quaint and picturesque Spanish-inspired village designed in Mediterranean Revival style. In May 2017, the City of Miami Beach invested and completed a $2.5 million revitalization project on the pedestrian-only street. Today, Española Way is experiencing a renaissance, living out the intentions of those who built it nearly a century ago. It is a festive street where locals and travelers congregate to commiserate, create and celebrate.

Miami Beach Boardwalk

Reviewed By P3579DRwendys - Norwich, United Kingdom

We were staying in accommodation (Waldorf Towers) on Ocean Drive which was perfectly located for South Beach as well as the Boardwalk and all its many modes of travel. People walk, jog, run, rollerblade, skateboard, Segway but I feel one of the best ways is to use one of the many Citibike Stations to hire a bike, for as long as you like, on an hourly rate. You can return the bike to any one of the many stations along the Boardwalk. Please see attached photos for guidance and prices for your information. We cycled from one end (where South Beach becomes Mid Beach which is walking only) along South Beach to the South Pointe Pier where the cruise ships dock. It’s probably a couple of miles in distance but s great way to see the beautiful Art Deco buildings on Ocean Drive facing the beach as well as all the activity on the anazing South Beach. All areas, including the beach, are immaculately clean, well policed at all times night or day and provides the best people watching and views. Would highly recommend as a must do activity whilst in Miami South Beach area.
