The long stretch of beach in Varadero is perhaps one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! Water is crystal clear, the beach is white sand and seemingly endless, and of course, the Cuban culture adds to the charm of this most amazing place. When visiting, please respect the beauty of this pristine beach. Don't spoil it with littered cigarette butts and discarded plastic cups in the sand......there are plenty of garbage cans to keep the beach clean. Remember that you are a guest, in a country that has its own issues to deal with......please don't add to their difficulties. Embrace the waves, absorb the culture, dream in the most amazing sunsets, and be respectful of the beauty that warmly welcomed you.

This excursion was a free one that came with our trip through Hola Sun. It isn't for anyone who has a disability/is unable to climb stairs, or anyone who is secretly claustrophobic.. I personally have a disability, but medication is working so I was able to climb back out of the underground cave slowly. You go down about 159 steps and slopes and etc to wonder through an ancient cave system that was once underwater. The crystals and fossils inside are amazing. It is very humid, but despite them saying it was going to be hot, you didn't notice it until you climbed the 159 steps to get your of the caves. Great tour! Was totally worth it! Can't wait to get pictures off my go pro!

My Wife and I took a Taxi out to the Public Beach area of Coral Beach. It is a bit dangerous as the jagged rocks are unavoidable and the waves are bigger with no lifeguard to be seen. However, This Coral Reef cannot be described or even seen in pictures to do it Justice. If you are a confident snorkeler/swimmer and you can respect the environment you are entering and it's delicate nature, you will see things that most people will never see in their life. I thought I was going for the Tropical Fish. It turns out, although awesome, pale in comparison to the Coral Forests that you find yourself swimming through. For instance, Elk Horn Coral is a rare gift to ever see one. Here you find yourself navigating through massive groves of them. I cannot recount all the beauty of that day. Warning!! if you are the least bit unsure of your skills or unaware of how to treat Coral; go to the tour side. It is busy and you will have to pay, but you will get a glimpse into one of this planets most rare and beautiful sites.

The Cueva de los Peces is located between Playa Larga et Playa Giron. We visited this natural swimming pool with crystal-clear water, who is 70 meters deep. Our guide explained us that this natural swimming pool gives direct access to the deepest cave in Cuba, resulting from long-term tectonic motion. A beautiful and peaceful place! Because crystal-clear waters are full of tropical fish and multicolored corals, it's a paradise for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts!!!

Such calm water and soft golden sands. No high rise hotels, just small local casa's and a scattering of places selling drinks and food. We ate at Sol Y Caribe beach bar on Caleton beach, good value food and selling a fantastic Cubinata. The beach has a relaxed vibe and the sunset is beautiful, just take plenty of bug spray as there's lots of little bitey things out to get you. It's a thin long stretch of beach and we so wished we had spent more than one evening in this area of Cuba. We understand the snorkeling in the area was great and we were sad not to move on. There's lots of nature in the area and plenty of parks we wish we had visited.
