We heard it was ok, so did not expect too much, but was really impressed, on the way call in NM Uni, big dome, a great place to visit, you may need to call ahead, The views are fantastic, Marquette is a little Gem, IF would say its split into 3 or 4 places, Hampton Inn, waterside, The sort of town Centre, where quite a few great shops, Target , Wall Mart, in fact loads, then the small town , near Hampton, The reason i mention this is, all are near sugerloaf, Read all the reviews, but if its a cold day ?? told proper clothes,All in all visit , and the skiing is brilliant, and great value, If anyone has students at Uni, you get hotel discounts, Also see Feb Husky rides,Dogs, and sledge, people come from all over,

Stopped here on our way out of Baraga and what a beautiful little gem! It's a short walk down to the falls and great place to take some awesome pics.

What a lovely park! Somewhat reminiscent of Stanley Park in Vancouver (but without the totem poles). Hiking trails, biking trails, a breakwater, picnic areas, views of the Great Lakes ships in the harbor, swimming, rocks and cliffs, a circle road. What's not to love about this place.

We hiked out to the Falls during a camping vacation at Perkins park. We brought a picnic lunch along and ate by the Falls. It is beautiful and peaceful. After lunch, we rolled up our pant legs and went wading in the freezing river. It was so much fun the kids are still talking about it. Be warned you do have to walk across a couple of logs over a small stream to get there. My kids thought it made the hike more fun.

Great little walk. The creators obviously love what they do and I love the refurbishing of what otherwise would be garbage into something cool. It's open and on donation basis so please keep it clean and donate what you can to help keep it going.

Downtown Marquette.
We were here for an afternoon showing at the Fresh Coast Film Festival. There were multiple locations involved, well staffed with lots of local information available. Shops along Washington St. were nice to browse with a nice variety and relaxed feeling.

Jilbert Dairy is Upper Michigan's very own dairy plant, processing and distributing milk and ice cream products throughout Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the northern Lower Peninsula, and parts of northern Wisconsin. Stop by our store and ice cream sundae bar, enjoy one of our unique sundaes or delicious ice cream cones.
Jilberts Dairy is a local landmark that has provided the community great dairy products for many years. You can still find Mr Jilbert, who 'retired' a few years ago at the dairy almost every day being an aambassador for the brand. The store at the working dairy has many products produced locally or from other parts of the Dean corporation who bought it a while ago. The big draw has always been the old time ice cream parlor area and outdoor seating near the giant cow Jilly. The many flavors and generous scoops bring smiles to kids young and old. Inconveniently located on a side road off Washington Street, its worth seeking out when you need to fed your sweet tooth or show the kids what a dairy is.

Stopped in for a brew after having dinner downtown. Didn't expect the brewery to be inside an old house. They have some shirts and hats for sale, along with the patch from their hats. The beer and selection is good between, IPAs, pale ales, porters, and golden ales.
Mostly a place for the younger crowd, but all age groups can be found. Outside seating is available.

I've been here twice for athletic events and I like this venue. It is close to campus and close to town. The only issue I have is that I really want to buy some NMU merchandise and the store in the Dome is NEVER open. I gaze through the windows at the nice stuff I would buy but to no avail.

Took our 1 year old and 6 year old boys to the children's museum. Had so much fun we ended up going back after lunch and spending the rest of the day. Just hang on to your receipt for re-entry. All the staff there was great and helpful. Well worth the admission price ($6.00 per person over age 2 or $25.00 for family.)
