Amazing Escape Room Freehold

Real-life room escape games are a type of physical adventure game in which people are locked in a room with other participants and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles, find clues, and escape the room within a set time limit.

My 14 year old daughter and her friends loved doing this for her bday. Would highly recommend it for a teen birthday party! There was so much teamwork and laughter during the activity! Can't wait to go back with my friends and family to escape from other rooms! Staff were friendly, fun-loving and patient! Also, if you have the Route 9 Community Card, you get a discount!

Set my oldest cheese record with their 8 year old Canadian cheddar. This place has all things eatable from produce to fully cooked or baked items. Reasonable priced local produce and excellent assortment of coffees, cheese, candy, syrups, honey, etc. They even have a smoothie bar, ice cream bar, desert bar and snack bar. I had a panini with ham, Brie, Granny Smith apple slice & apple butter- it was fantastic.

Fit trails, picnic areas, meadows and playgrounds throughout. Beautiful settings everywhere. Really well maintained and always serene.

This is the best temple of all the temples have visited in USA so far. Neatly maintained, lovely atmosphere, peaceful environment.

The alankaram from all the God&Godesses was so adorable. ..so spritual ,above all prasadam was served in a humble and neat manner. ..the organization was so polite.

the arrangements during the Lord Venkateshwara Swamy kalyanam is really fantastic , i personally felt as if as was there in tirupati (India), they offered Tirupati ladoo etc, the way of receiving the people by the temple volunteers in the extreme cold climate is extraordinary.

Stayed here for a 2 night race event at Englishtown. Rooms with 2 other couples. I made the arrangements so was nervous tnat the rooms would be run down. The rooms are updates and comfortable. They have a refridge and microwave besides the coffee maker. Breakfast was usual hotel - eggs, bacon, cereals and make your own waffles. Desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Will stay here again next year

Problem is, nothing else seems to have been touched either. Such an important battlefield deserves better treatment from New Jersey. Gift shop and museum store opened 3 hours a week, 1 staff person on hand to answer questions, and the feeling that this is a forgotten piece of history due to negligence. Total shame. Now I know why I was the only person there.

Deep Cut Gardens

Reviewed By TheExplorerFamily - Somerset, New Jersey

This is an incredible garden to visit during any season – except, probably winter. There are 55 acres of gardens, large green expanses of grass, huge trees and ponds to explore. Plus, there is a Greenhouse full of several varieties of Cactus plants in pots, and lovely Bonsai trees inside as well as outside.

The renovated and beautifully manicured Parterre/Rose Garden features more than 170 rose bushes with 55 different varieties – some with very cute names identified by labels. Most of the Roses were freshly cut, and done with their first blooms when we visited, but will obviously bloom again. We would like to be back to view those. The Gazebo/Pergola at the end of the garden is simply stunning, and provided an awesome backdrop for some people taking wedding and graduation pictures.

There is a long walking trail that circumvents the entire area. There is a natural pond with frogs at the very back, and a soothing Lily Pond with Koi near the entrance, just outside the Horticulture Center Building. We also saw a Library with lots of books and creative displays about gardening.

We truly enjoyed our two-hour visit to this hidden gem. It was a very relaxing, quiet and serene place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There are lots and lots of benches all around to sit, chat, read and contemplate about the beauty of these natural surroundings.

Just a word of caution to those with mobility issues. There are many steep steps to go down to the Rose Garden. But there are cleared walking pathways and grassy areas to get there. Make sure you get a map from the Horticulture Center.

Old Gardens always have some historical stories attached to them. These grounds were once owned by Vito Genovese from Naples, who re-fashioned the gardens in an Italian design in 1935. He came to be known as the most powerful gangster in the history of America. The character of Don Corleone in “The Godfather” movie was apparently modeled after Genovese.

Worth a visit.

Impressive array of spaces, activities, resources in a beautiful setting. Something for every age and interest. Very well maintained. Great little zoo (if containing mostly local or domesticated species doesn't offend you on moral grounds). Deer ducks, chickens, goats, pot belly pigs, a huge Tom Turkey and pea cock and hen, etc. All open to the public and free, though I did see a sign on a pavilion that said 'by reservation.' A great park in a beautiful spot. Didn't see anywhere to swim.

Henry Hudson Trail

Reviewed By AlexanderD - New Jersey

This review refers specifically to the southern section of the Henry Hudson Trail beginning at Big Brook Park in Marlboro to the terminus at Route 537 in Freehold. I know there are additional segments adjacent to Route 79 but this review deals with the stretch I rode.

Parking at Big Brook Park is easy and plentiful. The entrance is on Route 520 about two tenths of a mile east of Route 79. There are garbage cans and portable toilets here as well. I strongly recommend starting here rather than at the Route 537 end because the 537 ends does not have adequate parking as of this writing. There are a few residential neighborhoods there but they have signs warning you not to park on the streets there.

The first mile from Big Brook Park is, for me, the best section of the trail. It winds through broad meadows on both sides and there are a wide variety of birds to see depending on the time of year. Then the trail changes into a mostly wooded section and stays that way for most of the next five miles. You pass behind businesses and residential areas here and there but mostly it is pretty tranquil. There are a few crossings (5 or 6) but the only major one is Koslowski Road. They have a crosswalk and a traffic light there so it is not too onerous to cross. A bridge takes you over Route 18.

My bike riding app said that the entire ride was 6 miles from Big Brook to 537. The entire ride, there and back, was 258 feet of elevation gain so it isn't too challenging in terms of hills. In short, it is a good trail with a lot of variety and never seems to be crowded in all the times I've ridden it.

Every year when the weather gets chillier and the leaves start changing we make our way to Battleview Orchards. They have the best apple cider and donuts in all of New Jersey if I’m completely honest. I wait all year to stand in line and order fresh cider donuts made daily! The orchard is immaculate and staff is very friendly.. photo ops everywhere! Be prepared to wait in some traffic depending by the time you go. Will be a family tradition for years to come.
