Located only 17 miles off the coast of Ecuador, this island is encircled by many reefs that make it a popular destination for scuba divers and snorkelers.
It is a really nice day trip where you get very close to the birds. Go for the "long" hike. It is quite easy and takes only 1,5 hours. Price har rissen to 40$ most places. They start at 45 and then lower it to 40 everywhere.

Rio Muchacho Organic Farm and Eco-lodge is located 10km north of the popular beach town of Canoa. We offer a unique and ecologically friendly haven for guests to stay, relax, and explore. Our bungalow-style accommodation was constructed entirely from local materials, and we try to prepare all our meals using fresh fruit and vegetables harvested from our own grounds. Unwind in our yoga & meditation garden, spend time investigating the farm's abundance of plants and animal life, watch your kids climb or swing in our playground, or choose from an array of guided tours. Experience coastal Ecuador in a tranquil setting, far removed from the typical tourism tracks and ideal for families or authentic nature seekers. Harvest fresh organic ingredients and prepare a traditional tonga lunch. Horseback ride to a monkey forest, then make your own chocolate. We also offer volunteering opportunities and intensive course programs about permaculture and sustainable living.

Nice little beach with a few passable bars and restaurants. The waves look really strong when we were there. I wouldn't risk a swim. The climb to the cliff top on the rustic stairs was a real challenge for me but we made it. The views on top were spectacular

A full day tour to the 'Silver Island' is very worthwhile to do. You can get unusually close to many peculiar, blue- and red-footed birds.

We walked from the park entrance to the final beach. The walk went past a couple of interesting beaches and then we had the good fortune to spot a mother whale and calf frolicking about just below the mirador which was really special. The kids enjoyed a lovely swim when we got to the final beach - the water was lovely and warm and the waves gentle. Arranged the taxi to pick us up at the car park a few hours later.

Clean wonderful beach with tons of delicious seaside restaurants to enjoy! They have regular beach cleaners which is wonderful as the locals are not very good at cleaning up after themselves. The ocean is deliciously warm here as well !
