Madras (/ˈmædrəs/ MAD-res) is a city in Jefferson County, Oregon, United States. Originally called "The Basin" after the circular valley the city is in, it is unclear whether Madras was named in 1903 for the cotton fabric called "Madras" that originated in the city of Madras (now Chennai) in Tamil Nadu, India, or from the name of the city itself. The population was 6,046 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Jefferson County.

:60 minutes north of Bend, a stunning collection of (primarily) 1940-1950's military and civilian aircraft. I do not recommend looking at their webpage, just because it takes away from the awe and joy of walking into this collection and being bowled over! All the aircraft are maintained in flying condition. I (65yrs) spent several hours walking around. Good information available to read with each plane. In 2019, I plan to go back for their big annual air show. I'm just going to share one picture to entice you into visiting!

We hunted on 1/15/20 and had a great time. Steve and his crew were extremely accommodating, informative, and provided an excellent opportunity to get the dog out and work on some things. Beautiful views! My shooting got some work as well, and I can't wait to go back.

Our Rock Shop offers a vast variety of rough and finished stone from the world over. We sell at a discount Lapidary Equipment from trusted manufacturers Diamond Pacific, Lortone, MK & Baranca Diamond, Estwing Tools And our very own High Speed Dry Sander and Buffer.
Was well worth the drive off the highway. I found unfinished quartz that I just fell in love with. The shop had quite a few pieces of jewelry that was very reasonably priced. The owner was being hassled by a lawyer. Poor man!

Our happy place! We are a family of 4 and love the tiny homes. We’ve stayed multiple times and every time we leave, the kids are begging to go back. We’ve also stayed in a few of the RV sites. Really enjoyed those stays as well! Cruising the lake on one of the resort’s pontoon boats is a blast and the staff has always been friendly and accommodating.
