Immaculately kept, flowers, grounds, buildings. Great hiking trails with lots of trees. Gift shop, butterfly interactive area with very knowledgeable, friendly staff. There are areas for gorgeous outdoor weddings. Very educational for kids and parents too. Run by Melinda & Paul and lots of volunteers. It's truly a treat- & if you have kids and live anywhere near I highly recommend the yearly pass. The grounds are ever evolving. A terrific place to get out into nature and learn a few things.

A group and friends and I golfed here, it was raining and we were the only ones on the course yet the owners had the audacity to yell at us for playing from out of bounds rather than taking a drop. I would have overlooked the fact that these were the worst greens I've ever played on, but the out of bounds was 15 feet from the fairway and hardly worth coming out into the rain to yell at us.

This park is beautiful and multi-purpose - there are pavilions for picnicking, long trails for hiking and biking (also connecting to nearby Nickleplate Trail), ball fields, and an excellent playground for the little kids, one complete with castle turrets.
There are proper restrooms in a permanent facility, so you won't have to rely on porta-johns, and running water for the water fountains.
Large sections of the grounds are nesting grounds for local birds and are left unmowed during the breeding season. The areas along the trails are all kept mowed, however, so there's no real threat of ticks. Just of seeing some birds!
All in all, it's a great park to walk the dog, jog, play ball, or let the kids run themselves out on the playground!

I visited here in March 2018 for the national convention of Tarkenton Financial. The visit was much more memorable with Fran Tarkenton (HOF 1986) accompanying us through the museum reminiscing about various players who he personally knew or had known.Awesome to hear that you had a memorable visit! Something you will definitely remember since it was unique to tour with a Hall of Famer. We hope to have you make a return trip in the near future.

At Maize Valley, they make great wine...FUN! Great food, special events and award winning wines come together to make an experience that builds memories to last a lifetime. Hours vary depending on the season, check our website for more information.
Has to order and pay for food and wine from the front of the winery. It's very inconvenient for those who have several questions because others are waiting in line or if you would like to add on additional items. Several seating options inside and outside. Had options to purchase beer or wine but have to stand in seperate lines to order. Probably will return but not at the top of my list.

Absolutely stunning theater. Nicely restored, it offers a grand movie experience. From the organ to the colored lights, to the clouds, everything is just so beautiful. Do not miss an opportunity to see a classic movie at this theater. With so many restaurants nearby, it makes for a great date night!
