A fantastic morning spent with Steve Batt at his Shooting School, I was apprehensive about giving shooting a try out as being a disabled novice gave me concern. Steve's approach to my disability was fabulous, he listened and directed me, and before no time I was hitting clays (although I did miss a few!!!). Lovely setting and excellent safety and position lecture. To sum it up a fantastic introduction to clay shooting and shooting in general...I can't wait to go back.. 5 star.

Hillside Brewery is an exciting, family owned and run Gloucestershire brewery, built on traditional skills and values. We pride ourselves in producing high quality ales in small batches using traditional methods and the finest ingredients from around the world. Using methods which have been developed and mastered over a lifetime, we want to change people's perception of beer.
I bought my son a 'pub at Home ' from Hillside Brewery to help him celebrate his 2nd lockdown birthday at home and it was brilliant! The beer especially went down very well. The box contained a 5L keg of beer, a bottle of wine, 2 beer glasses, a couple of packets of crisps, a pack of playing cards and a spotify playlist. Great present, speedy delivery.

My girlfriend loves horses so we wanted to try and find some wild ponies and May Hill was suggested. A lovely walk to the top of May hill, down the other side, back round to the car park. Ticked off ponies, cows, stunning views and a beautiful woodland walk. Lovely spot and a nice way to spend an hour or so walking.

Came today with my friend for our first cookery school experience. We attended a morning session learning Thai cuisine with a wonderful teacher called Pi. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by Yvette the lady who runs the school and the lovely Pi. Pi explained it was her first time teaching a cookery lesson and she was fabulous. She showed us 2 recipes that she cooked for us and they were delicious and then we cooked 2 other dishes which also were very delicious. All in all a wonderful experience in beautiful surroundings. I will definitely be back to try another class. I highly recommend giving Harts Barn a visit.

The craft shops have a good selection of gift ideas at very reasonable prices. The restaurant/cafe is good homemade food and served well presented, at great prices. The desserts are as wonderful as the main dishes. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The original Centre was called The Mohair Centre after the goats used for their fleece. These were made into items of clothing by the ladies of the Mohair Centre. After the Centre was taken over a name was chosen that could be easily remembered by locals and children so Dick Whittington was used as he was born not far from the Centre. Over the years the Centre has developed into a Leisure Park for children and families to come to visit in the Play Barn and outdoor areas with Nature Walks. Since the loss of the animals the the Park has taken on significant changes. A new Equine Stable has been established as well as a Dog Grooming Parlour in the Court Yard. New lakes have been included, which are now stocked with fish ready for keen fishermen, and will have picnic areas around the landscaped areas of the lakes. More Nature Trails will be built. A New Blaisdon Plum Orchard will be planted to compliment the already established Old Gloucestershire Apple Orchard.
I had my daughter's 7th Birthday party here today, The party of 20 had a fantastic afternoon and the ages varied from 7-11 and they all left smiling. It was great for the money, All i had to do was bring cake and a balloon for table. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Would definitely be coming back.
C3 Tactical is a Airsoft company running full or half day Airsoft Skirmishes, training and more. Airsoft (for those that don't know) uses military replicas to fire 6mm plastic BBs at an opposing team. Based heavily in real world tactics and training Airsoft is the more mature and realistic cousin of paintball; although it hurts and costs a lot less!Events run from 08:30 to 17:00+
