Lipetsk (Russian: Липецк, IPA: [ˈlʲipʲɪtsk]) is a city and the administrative center of Lipetsk Oblast, Russia, located on the banks of the Voronezh River in the Don basin, 438 kilometers (272 mi) southeast of Moscow. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 508,887.

Lipetsk Folk, Decorative and Applied Arts Museum was opened in 2006 and is one of the youngest museums in Lipetsk region. The Museum's collections comprise about 6132 exhibits. The Museum has collected and carefully stores objects of peasant everyday life, fascinatingly beautiful traditional folk costumes and items of folk arts and crafts of Lipetsk land. That is why a fine permanent display of theMuseum is dedicated to the Folk Arts of the Lipetsk regionA spacious showroom the Museum holds temporary exhibitions where everyone can learn and feel the beauty of various kinds of decorative and applied arts. The Museum runs the "School of Crafts" on ceramics, artistic and traditional doll, lace making, weaving, felting and patchwork. For schoolchildren, family groups and everyone concerned the Museum offers classes and workshops that provide an opportunity to enter the world of folk culture and to feel as a potter, master of toys or lace-maker. Every year the Museum attracts more than 20.000 people. Opening hours: daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Closed: on Mondays and the last Friday of each month.
