Not many mountain lakes are just a few steps from the cable car; Daubensee is one of them and it is definitely worth visiting it. The view is amazing and changes every 50m along the loop around the lake. The reflection of the mountains on the water is incredible and there are many spots for nice pics. Therefore, consider more than 2 hours to complete the loop, especially if there is snow on the path. And take some food with you, so you can have a pic-nic with a view, and what a view!

open trellis sort of footing, and a quite steep staircase at the end which sways a bit if anyone else is on it.A maybe 30 minute walk with a few spectacular views of gorge and waterfall.

Spoil yourself in the 10 thermal baths (from 28°C to 43°C) and treat yourself to the wide range of spa facilities at the Leukerbad Therme in Leukerbad (1,400 m above sea level). Enjoy the rejuvenating thermal water, rich in minerals, from our private springs in the midst of an impressive mountain world.
Excellent for families, clean and hot water, great exhibition with waterfalls. Big and wonderful outdoor swimming pool. Therme should work longer

Walliser Alpentherme is the largest Spa complex in Switzerland, located directly on Leukerbad`s Historical village square, just opposite to Hotel de France, Maison Blanche and Grand Bain all connected by underground tunnels. With more than 11.000 m2, we offer special treatments for our guest such as traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda massage and much more. Also a wonderful indoor and outdoor swimming pool with 100 percent natural Thermal Spring Water coming straight from the mountains of Leukerbad
I have been in Walliser Alpentherme with my wife, We got just married and it is been everything absolutely fantastic. Starting from the staff, very friendly and kind, helpful and professional, the restaurant "les sacre bon" offers everyday an amazing different choice of Swiss/France/Italian Cuisine. We stayed in the Hotel the France, absolutely clean and comfortable bed, with an amazing bathroom just been refurbished, (I guess). The Walliser Alpentherme Spa was a stunning building with plenty of facilities, and the best view ever seen. the pool are massive. I do really recommend this place for a relaxing week.
