What's your Once Upon a Time? The Leighton - Linslade Children's Trail is a free public trail of 22 artworks celebrating children’s stories for little people, with big imaginations, to explore. How many can you find? Use the clues on the free map to help you search. Look out for the big paw prints on the floor. Your challenge starts at the Leighton Buzzard Library, where you can pick up your map.
Pick up a copy of the Children’s Trail at the Library (complete with pencil) or download it from the internet. My main tip is don’t just set off, read the instructions carefully! This would have helped us in the long run, as we completely missed the bit telling us that a (blue) pawprint would be situated next to each clue! And that clues marked with a blue dot on the map were sculptures or painted, and clues with a red dot on the map were words we had to find. Once we had realised that, the trail became much easier. Although, actually, the pawprint is missing from the very last clue (22). Also be aware that some of the clues are in alleyways such as Peacock Mews which are gated after business hours. And one clue is in the bandstand, so obviously you can’t gate-crash a Sunday afternoon concert! But it’s great fun for all ages and certainly gives a different insight to Leighton Buzzard. We enjoyed the Trail and thought the Town Council have done a good job in creating this.

I went to Leighton buzzard Brewery on Sunday 1st. They had a record sale, good selection of beers and a fabulous Indian Street food lady selling snack foods such as peas cachoori ( excuse the spelling) keema curry, cauliflower curry, chick peas, lentils and many more condiments all of which I have not tasted since visiting India. The atmosphere was relaxed and accepting of children and dogs. Well worth a visit.

We've been coming here for years and sadly didn't think to write a Trip Advisor review sooner. We're so lucky to have this brilliant, old fashioned shop in our market town. Tucked away in the cobbled alley, the owner and staff are so knowledgeable about their coffee - beans or ground, roasted on the premises. Waste free - reuse the brown paper bags for small discount - the selection is fantastic. They also have a huge range of loose leaf teas. A few years ago I bought a monthly coffee subscription for my husband, which he loved. Great to support an independent foodie gem.
