Near Montmorency Metro in Laval with a lot of parking space ($), it's a great place (more intimate than large places like the Bell Center in Montreal) mainly for standup comics shows, singers, plays and other performing arts. Seats are comfortable and you are never very far from the stage. Good acoustics. Entrance and exits allow for quick egress. Large lobby area with snack and beverage counter. Efficient ticketing desk. Programming always offers a wide variety of entertainement.

The Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors. This unique natural attraction is the most important preserved wildlife sanctuary in the Montreal region. What can be more exciting than observing animals in their natural habitat? Admire the flora of the park's many marshes, Islands and banks, in a canoe, kayak, rabaska, pedal boat or row boat. Enjoy the scenery while hiking on the many trails of the park or take the Route bleue des voyageurs, a 155-kilometre navigable route divided into eight sections that runs from the Ottawa River region to Laval and end in the Lanaudière region.

The Montreal Holocaust Museum tells the story of Jewish communities before, during and after the Holocaust. Through the life stories of Montreal survivors, the Museum invites visitors to reflect on the destruction caused by prejudice, racism and antisemitism.
A worthwhile journey through the time between the end of WW1 and the present. Some poignant images and notes from the past, but there is an underlying positive message from the survivors who narrate the various video presentation.
I was glad to bear witness to the information presented
Definitely worth the time to visit

The Cosmodome is Canada's only world-class museum devoted entirely to astronautics and space exploration. This institution's Mission is to stimulate the interest of the young and young at heart, here and abroad, to space science, scientific literacy and careers related to the world of astronautics. To this end, the Cosmodome draws upon the fascinating history of space exploration - the outstanding achievements and tremendous challenges of space pioneers and interplanetary travel's new explorers.

Parc des Prairies has something for everyone: nature lovers, family picnics , kids play/ animation, exercise fans, runners, cultural events, dancing lessons, late night movies, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, art Exhibitions - just check for times of activities that interest you on City of Laval website. One thing that's not clear - do they welcome dogs? The park is 30 hectares and should have plenty of space for everyone but Laval has these totally bizarre and restrictive laws that do not permit dogs in any municipal parks. The animators say that they "tolerate dogs" in the park but the signs say differently - no dogs allowed. Go figure! City of Laval has some important homework to do! Are your parks animal friendly?

My 2 1/2 year old grandson really enjoys this place, however it's less impressive for the adults.
Admission costs are rather steep considering that updating is really needed:
$15.65 per child, $8.70 per adult, 7.83 for seniors...not including,tax.
They are open 9:00-5:00 Mon to Thursday and 9:00-6:00 on Fri, Sat & Sun.
There is no restaurant/snack bar, so bring your own food & beverages.
The location is on the east side of Labelle Blvd, just north of highway 440.
Lots to do, touch, explore for the little ones:
- police car, fire truck, vet clinic, construction zone, grocery store, classroom, farm, garage, boat, space shuttle, theatre/costumes a ball room & more.
A good choice for a rainy day or during the winter.

We took a quick trip to Jean-Talon Market and it was great seeing various food products. Unfortunately, we were continuing with our road trip so we couldn’t buy any perishables. We enjoyed some samples and purchased a few maple syrup products.
There is parking behind the market.
