Swiss Alps are breathtaking, all worth it...ready for my next adventure. The Alpine region of Switzerland, conventionally referred to as the Swiss Alps, represents a major natural feature of the country and is, along with the Swiss Plateau and the Swiss portion of the Jura Mountains, one of its three main physiographic regions

This is a rewarding and easy short hike with neat "behind the falls" access and gorgeous valley views. Do not miss it -- do this if you have an hour or so and weather up in the mountains is lousy for hikes.

The mighty Trummelbach Falls are cased inside the Lauterbrunnen valley wall and for a small fee, you can take a lift and walk higher up the falls to witness it gush, twist and turn all the way down to the valley floor. Amazing in any weather. It can get cool and wet inside, so be prepared with proper clothing.

Lauterbrunnen village is in the valley which separates Wengen (and the Mannlichen) from Murren (and Birg/the Shilthorn). It's beautiful and has loads of cute shops and restaurants, and the train station regularly serves Wengen, Kleine Shiedegg and Jungfraujoch), as well as Interlaken, connections on to Grindelwald and beyond. The Trummelbach Falls are accessible via the regular buses (which depart from outside the station).

The Lauterbrunnen valley is also known as the valley of 72 waterfalls. Mürrenbach is one of them. This waterfall can be seen when riding the gondola from Stechelberg to Gimmelwald and Mürren. Visiting the bottom of the waterfall is prohibited and very dangerous due to the risk of falling rocks (especially during the snow melting time in spring) Waterfalls you can visit upclose: Trümmelbach Falls, Staubbach Fall.
Waterfall is towards Murren / far end of valley on right and sign says about 1300ft / 400m high. one of many, but probably the bigger you can see from valley floor
