Described as "the most beautiful track in America", Arlington began Thoroughbred racing on October 13, 1927, when more than 20,000 fans braved the cold weather to celebrate the event in high style. Since then, Arlington International has become a social destination and perfect summer hangout to watch and wager on the amazing sport of Thoroughbred horse racing! Arlington offers beautiful venues for everything from corporate outings to reunions to weddings, and it's the ideal spot for groups of friends to catch-up, watch the ponies and meet new people. From Miller Lite Party in the Park on Friday, to Miller Lite Horses & Hops on Saturdays, to Sunday Family Days presented by Daily Herald and Lipton Iced Tea, it's always a great time!
It seems like there aren’t many tracks left in the country. This is one of the classics. Totally destroyed and rebuilt, and now their racing season is a festive highlight of summer capped off by the Arlington Million. It has excellent banquet facilities, a beautiful clubhouse and great food.

Went with a bus group of theatre students to see Newsies at the Marriott Lincolnshire. The production was fast-paced and exciting to watch. The actors are so close and constantly moving around so everyone in the theatre could see them. The singing and dancing were very well done. Scene changes were quick as actors moved set pieces up and down the aisle. Looking forward to attending another production here, as it’s easy to get to and parking is free.

Step back in time and relive your youth at this delightful candy store! The owner is very nice and I come here every year for stocking stuffers. I love all the different pez, necco's, bazooka bubble gum, etc. at this place. Also, try the chocolate covered potato chips. Sweet and Savory! Yum!!!

This place rocks I sampled omany of their beers and was quite impressed with all of them. Even though the outside looks like a warehouse the inside is really nice with beer inspired tables and large TVs playing the sports game. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and were able to find a seat easily enough. The menu is awesome highlighting their seasonal beers and their mainstays. I also really liked how they highlighted the brewing process on the menu. Not sure if they serve food or not or if you bring your own in. The only thing I could think that they could improve is to put their history on the menu explaining how they got going. I was really impressed and enjoyed my time there I will definitely be visiting again next time I'm in the area.

Watch excellent movies in comfortable seats, among your friends and neighbors (who understand movie etiquette) ... on the cheap! Add Baloney's wonderful sandwiches next door and you have a very special experience. Simply the BEST.

Indoor and outdoor dining and drinking, and a beach that children can play on while you eat. The open air beach bar has music on weekends, sometimes good enough that people crowd the dance floor. And the food is exceptionally good...try the bull bites or spicy shrimp for lunch. Also great kiddy menu.

Who knew?
A craft distillery tucked away in suburbia, the Copper Fiddle Distillery is well worth taking the time to discover. Even for a nonwhiskey drinking person like myself, I appreciate the level of devotion and craft that is evident here in the creation of a superb, high-quality product. From the American oak barrels to the craft cocktails at the bar, a quick look around Copper Fiddle Distillery will reveal a hidden gem in the middle of the suburbs.

According to A. Alfred Taubman -- philanthropist and suburban shopping mall designer -- parking belongs in front of stores, with easy access to the entrances.
I don't know what he'd make of Deer Park.
If you want to see the entire mall, which has a linear design, you will have to backtrack, rather than circle.
However, if you're coming to visit a particular store -- there are over 70 -- chances are you'll be able to park very close to it. My favourite stops are Paper Source, Anthropologie, and Williams-Sonoma.
Beverage and food places are pretty much clustered in one location.
The Century sixteen-screen theater is behind the mall.
Deer Park has a California vibe -- both in architectural style and in fresh air/exercise benefits.
