We went our 13 yo son and 9yo son. My husband is an expert rider, I’ve been trail riding with my husband twice in the mountains in VT, our 13 yo son had several lessons about 2-3 years ago and our younger son has ridden in a ring twice. We were all fit with a very good horse for our size. All the horses were of a great temperament and all seemed very happy, well watered and loved. Our guide was terrific and personable and enjoyable. The trail is very pretty through woods and near a pond and behind cabins. Our sons never felt scared or anxious and they’ve already asked when they can ride again! Would definitely recommend Ruggiero’s!!

We had a great time with friends and family on the hour long horseback riding adventure. We are locals who tried to hit the trails before the tourists rolled in. I hadn't been here in years and it was as fun as I remember. The horses were trained and taken care of very well. I loved hearing our tour guide talk about how some of the horses are rescues and how the owners take such good care of them. If you are in the area and want to do some horseback riding Bennett's is the place. Make sure you wear long pants and closed toe shoes.
