First visit with friends today, wives sampled spirits and enjoyed Mackinac Island Fudge liquor, while we had moonshine margaritas. Wives enjoyed sampling, we thought moonshine margaritas were good but not likely to reorder. Beautiful building and attentive staff. A nice spot to stop up north.

After visiting a few years ago, we were reluctant to go back since we didn't care for their ciders. This visit we were pleasantly surprised to taste some really good cider! The cinnamon and the smackintosh were excellent. The tasting room was full so we sat out on the patio. It was a great stop.

Fishtown Preservation Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization devoted to preserving and protecting the historic fishing village of Leland, Michigan. For more information on what we do, who we are, and our mission, please visit our website or check in on Facebook.
If you have some extra time, take the drive up to Leland to see Fishtown. Several fishermen were in action. Charming shops surrounded the water. Tons of amateur photographers catching scenes. Be cautious navigating the shops near the water as the docks are narrow with no roping to prevent falls. This particular area wouldn't be safe for small children. We enjoyed walking along the Main Street exploring the other unique shops.

My mom or Dad isn't wine crazy but they both really enjoyed this tasting and so did I. The white port and the raspberry port were amazing. The moscato was great! The tasting is 5 free pours which is so nice. Lots of different wines and very friendly staff. Definitely will be back.

Located directly on the 45th parallel, we use our distinct location as the driving force behind our approach to crafting world class wines that represent the region. Using grapes from estate and regional vineyards, everything is handcrafted on-site with the goal of producing the most approachable, elegant wines possible.
I visited here with a group of 4 and we all did tastings. We chose to share some of our tastings, allowing us each to sample quite a few wines. We loved pretty much everything we tasted! They do have significantly more whites on the menu than anything else, but it is a good variety nonetheless. I believe they have about 10 whites, 2 roses, and 3 reds, as well as a handful of ciders and dessert/sweet wines. I would highly highly recommend their 45 White, Fandango (rose), and Red Barn Red. Their staff is friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations. Kudos to Corbin for being great during our tasting! The ambience is also nice. The inside has an upscale barn vibe, while the outside is cute as well. We enjoyed taking photos by the Wine on the Line sign, featuring the vineyards. Would definitely go back!

This is a winery that we consistently buy from on our visits to the area. The tastings are interesting and the wines are fairly priced. The standout for us this year was the chardonnay. And we always buy some tart cherry wine - call us fudgies but it is nice with dessert, and they make the best in the county.

Our unique one-of-a-kind destination is located only 12 miles north of Traverse City, MI on the scenic Leelanau Peninsula. The gorgeous 160 acre estate features vineyards, a luxury Inn, award winning winery and tasting room, the seasonal Hearth & Vine Cafe, horses, farm animals, and hiking trails.
We enjoyed the snowshoe trails through the woods and vineyards. There are a variety of different trails to choose. We went inside to taste the wines rather than staying on the heated terrace. The wines were very good. we all had a different favorite. We wished the server had been a little friendlier. He gave information, but never even cracked a smile.

Like Two Lads and Rove, nice use of wood and modern aesthetic. Clean. spacious restrooms, great view, and nice staff. This is another place husband bought a couple bottles. I add this into the review, because if you go to one of the other wineries I have reviewed, and like the stuff there, you may also like the wine at these other places.

Excellent smoked fish...obviously the white fish...boneless. Counter person suggested the atlantic salmon as a different alternative...it was...different and good too. You can be in/out of here in less than 5 minutes. Take the time to find Carlson's, stop, buy, eat.

Family owned hard apple cidery in Suttons Bay, Michigan. Now open for tastings, celebrations and libations!
We stopped in on our way to Suttons Bay and enjoyed an interesting flight of ciders. It was our first cider tasting and we were pleasantly surprised. We stood out on the deck with a spectacular view of the Bay. The walkway is a little steep, but very manageable.
