The Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum (formerly the La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum) in the historic Gaches Mansion, located in the beautiful waterfront town of La Conner, features exhibits of quilts and fiber arts throughout the year. With a new exhibit opening on one of the three floors each month, exhibits range from traditional quilts from around the globe to contemporary fiber art. The mission of the Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum is to present exhibitions and educational programs in all fiber arts that enrich and inspire, honor cultural traditions, and celebrate the creative spirit.
Stopped by to see the quilts and an excellent tapestry exhibit. The quilts were beautiful with both old and contemporary designs. The special exhibit of tapestries were fascinating...telling a story through art. I recommend a stop if you are in La Connor and have an interest in quilts.

If you enjoy art galleries, then this is a must when you visit La Conner. The staff are very helpful and the three exhibits were very well displayed and educational.

We saw this bridge from the restaurant we were eating at in La Conner and decided to drive across it. You can get a wonderful view of it from the docks downtown. It's an old-style suspension bridge that you can also walk across. The view of the little town of La Conner is very nice from the bridge.

Nasty Jack's Antiques is a family owned and operated antique and collectable store that has been been on the same corner since 1972. We are fun for the whole family! We carry beautiful antique furniture for every taste and budget, new and old nostalgic gift items, thousands of Life Magazines, on-site ice cream and espresso and three vintage kiddie coin operated rides. One of La Conners main attractions! We were voted "Best Antique Store 2009" in Evening Magazines Best Northwest Escapes, top five in this years contest and have won Skagit counties "Favorite Antique Store" several years in a row.
This store was very unique. There is so much to look at and see. Prices on the items are reasonably priced. It's very clean as well. The customer service was friendly. They have everything from antique furniture, records, books, China, metal signs and more. Recommend...MoreWe really appreciate your positive review of our store and glad you enjoyed your visit! Hope you will stop back in the next time you are in town!

This is an unusual Historical Museum...sorry for the oxymoron. There is not a crunch if LaConner history per square inch....but what is there is pretty accurate layout of that part of Skagit County. The exhibits are mostly photographs but what is there is good. I did not have time to go next door and go through research archives for the meat I was hoping for. Still, the museum was manned by a great docent, a beautiful and meaningful touch of what is beautiful and artistic about the area, and even some memory items for purchase that represented to origins of the Native American culture the preceded it and surrounds it even today. Well worth 4 bucks.

I am not sure what ediblecrayonz from Honolulu, HI, is talking about with her review. I have been a wine club member for 4 years and frequently enjoy free wine tastings on weekends, often with one of Washington's outstanding winemakers presenting their wines. There's never...MoreThanks Joel... we love our club members and appreciate your kind words... see you at the shop for some wine tasting fun soon!

I visited La Conner and noticed a wine tasting from vintner I had not heard about. Soo, being a wine person I stopped in for wine tasting at Skagit Cellars. I will sum it up in a very short bit...RuthAnne the sommelier was delightful and friendly. The 3 whites I tasted were amazing, wonderfully distinctive in flavor and aroma and the be all and end all of it......I HATE CABERNET FRANC...told RuthAnne don't even bring this for my tasting...she said "try this one"....This Skagit Cellars vintner is a wizard...the only Cabernet Franc i have ever liked let alone purchased. RUN to buy his wines. Exceptional!!!! And his Malbec, smooth berry/cherry you won't believe . When wines are labelled as buttery (especially Chardonnays) his Pinot Gris....large buttery on the tongue!!!! Go to La Conner if only to visit this wine tasting...and it's a lovely village too.

A working artists studio right in downtown La Conner. Scott Bouwens is a lampwork glass artist (mini works of art) and Monica Bouwens designs their jewelry. Scott's torch is right there in the studio and he will often demo if requested. Scott has also invented and sells many unique tools for glass artists. Bearfoot Art Glass Studio also offers beads for sale and beaded jewelry repair.
I was looking for something special to wear on an upcoming trip. Owners and artists Scott and Monica bent over backwards to help me find what I needed. When I could not find something that matched perfectly from their beautiful collection, they created something for me that was absolutely perfect and stunningly beautiful! I will definitely be back!

What a lovely local winery. The owner was nice and had a great story about their name and their wines. Very thoughtful space and great wine!
