May 22, 2021 Myesha Cogley

Delectable dim sum, floating islands, and a one-of-a-kind skyline are just some of Hong Kong’s unique features. Get an eyeful of traditional Chinese architecture in Ngong Ping village, then take the tram to the tippity-top of Victoria Peak for unparalleled views. The rocks and gentle hills of Nan Lian Garden will bring you inner peace, as will a calming cup of tea in a Stanley café. Become one with everything at the Chi Lin Nunnery, a serene Buddhist complex.

Tsing Yi Nature Trail

Reviewed By dernhelm29 - Melbourne, Australia

Searching for something different to do on my last full day in Hong Kong, I came across this trail on a hiking page. I walked along the waterfront promenade to reach the start of the trail, which gave great views across Rambler Channel to Tsuen Wan. The trail itself was well made and simple to follow. There’s quite a few stairs, which could be testing for the very unfit - I’m far from fit myself but managed OK by taking it slowly. I was fortunate to do the walk on an extremely clear day, and had jaw dropping views of Tsing Ma Bridge and Lantau Island, as well as Tsuen Wan and the northern parts of Kowloon. At the end of the trail a bus stop was not far away, with buses to many locations including Tsing Yi station. I’d definitely recommend this trail to anyone wanting some different Hong Kong views that are still very easily accessible.

Tsing Ma Bridge

When you come in from the airport on Lantau Island, you will have to cross Tsing Ma, the longest suspension bridge in the world. We landed at night so our view of the bridge was limited, and our view from the bridge was all the city lights. But we could really see the bridge itself and the vista the next day when going over to tour Lantau, and it is truly awesome. A magnificent feat of engineering!

Great location from the HK international airport. Only 10 minutes on MTR. Very clean and you can find a huge variety of restaurants at different price range. I especially liked the Taiwanese beef noodles located at the newly built Maritime square 2.

ANS Shop (Ladies Accessories) of Metro Plaza (Kwai Fong MTR) is excellent. Shop has wide varieties of nice goodies and prices are reasonable. Shopkeepers are kind and helpful. Deeply impressed when they offered me masks as they realized I forgot my masks in my hotel. Highly regarded.
