Whenever we get a chance we co.e watch the races. Love those Sprint cars! If you have the chance never miss it. So loud and so fast!

We were pleasantly surprised at this cool museum and hall of fame. From the history of the sport to how the cars evolved for aerodynamics and safety over the decades, to watching old race films in the theater, it was a great, economical ($5/adult) little side trip as we passed thru IA. Brought back memories of going to races at New Egypt back in our days in NJ.

We love Elk Rock State Park. The horse back riding trails are well maintained. Has a small outdoor arena and a small obstacle course. Camping sites, horse tie offs. Does not have full stalls. No charge to pull in for the day and ride, has parking for trailers not at a campsite for those just riding for an afternoon.
