History meets nature at Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek Regional Park! Step back in time as you tour the fully-restored dwellings of some of Osceola County's earliest settlers, furnished to depict lifestyles in the late 19th century. Visit the Seminole Settlement to see how Florida's natives lived off the land. Explore the hiking, biking and paddling trails to get in touch with Florida's nature on the Headwaters of the Everglades.
Well what a find. How can you live near something for donkey's years and not know it exists. We really only found out about it by going into a Tourist Office for info on something else. They even gave us dicount tickets for it. Not that it is expensive anyway but it was a bonus. You need to look it up on the web to get the low down on the attraction. The way I would describe it is an Old Wild West Original Town. It has the buildings of homes, church, farming, railway station etc. Some origional and some built to exact copy. This is not only a place for adults but is wonderful education for children of all ages. If you get a chance then please put it on your list of things to do. Once you know it exists then it is a doddle to find. Thanks for a fantastic visit. One down side : If only you could get a coffee there, perhaps something to think about. Keith C

Easy parking, quiet walk, connected to many trails that you could spend all day walking or bike riding. Also, many resting and picnic areas. The village area is very informative.

Fun Spot America Kissimmee has 2 unique U.S patented go-kart tracks, 18 Family and Thrill rides. Home to the worlds tallest SkyCoaster standing at 300ft! There is also a large arcade. Check out the Mine Blower roller coaster, the only wooden coaster in Florida with an inversion! FREE admission and FREE parking!
We went here one late afternoon because I heard you could pay for a few rides. Well, yes, you can, but it is $10 a ride. The day pass is $49.95, so it didn't make sense to pay for a few rides when after five rides, for the same price they could ride all day. So it looked so cool and the place was not that busy, so we came back the next day when we had more time. Also, make sure to check out the Old Town website because it has information about Old Town. If you go to the Old Town General Store they will give you sheets of coupons with discounts for all of the stores in Old Town, and $5 off the Fun Spot all day pass. So, we used our military discount for $5 off the entire day pass. My husband did not get a pass, but got a free yellow wristband to ride with our smallest child on the go carts. Overall, after two packed days at the Disney parks, this was a wonderful break! There were really no or very short lines for rides. We rode everything over and over. There were plenty of different rides for all ages, and don't forget on the other side of Old Town there are four more great rides (carousel, tilt whirl, crazy couch, and parasol rides) as well as the large Ferris Wheel in front. The game room was great as well. The concessions were all reasonable, easily available, and scattered throughout the park. Parking was easy and we were maybe 30 feet from the entrance. Basically, we just thought we would try this out, and boy was I impressed. It was so carefree yet so fun, I think my kids enjoyed this park more than Disney just because we weren't fighting crowds and enduring long waits. AND, all of the staff here were very professional, kind, and engaging. They clapped for you at the end of every ride. Guessing we did 75-100 rides while there for four hours. If you want a change of pace that will make your kids happy and be easy for you as a parent, this is your place. And you can stroll through Old Town and see a variety of fun shops, food places and outdoor bars. Your kids will love it, and so will you. If you buy something, your car is so close you can just go stick it in your trunk. Just was a great way to spend our last day in Florida!

We went to this museum where you can actually fly a T6 Texan with the instructor in the back seat if you want to pay $280. We just toured the Warbirds and enjoyed seeing the Memphis Bell. My favorite was the Aerocar!

Thoroughly enjoyed walking this great, open park that has wide, paved walkways, restrooms, a cute splash pad and playground for the littles with picnic tables and shaded pavilions equipped with large charcoal grills and ceiling fans. Great birding location! Hours are 7AM -10PM. Lots of benches and Adirondack chairs for sunning and resting along the way.

Old Town is located in Kissimmee, FL and is next door to Fun Spot Kissimmee, one mile from Celebration and five miles east of the main gate of Walt Disney World. Open seven days a week, the hours are 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. for shops and 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. for restaurants. Built in 1986, Old Town is a 10-acre walking district containing a collection of shops, restaurants and family-friendly amusements. There are free vehicle shows, car cruises and live entertainment Wednesday through Sunday. The brick streets come alive on Friday and Saturday nights, when people line the sidewalks to admire a parade of hot rods, street rods and antiques. Throughout the year, Old Town hosts a variety of Americana-themed and seasonal events.

Visitors can take the 3-mile nature trail hike or an off-road buggy tour to learn about the hundreds of wildlife species that are being protected by the Nature Conservancy at this nature preserve.
Learned much about the local wilderness and how it was established with a super guide, Daniel Cole. I believe this is a much overlooked opportunity to see a unique activity/site managed by the Nature Conservancy.

We had a wonderful stay at Gaylord Palms recently - we were lucky enough to visit during the holiday season and the decor is just breathtaking. We enjoyed ICE immensely, including the tubing and holiday shows. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed the poolside restaurant as well - good food and drinks, generous portions. While prices are higher - it's a nice resort - we felt we received good value for the spend. Drinks were strong, food portions were generous. The only negatives were the unreasonable resort and parking fees - we felt they were way too high - especially the $30/day resort fee. All in all, we had a wonderful,, magical time.
