Kadzielnia Park

The review below which states that this attraction is only open from April to September is incorrect. I'm glad we checked with Tourist Information who confirmed that you can visit any time of the year and this makes sense as it is literally a park in the city - there are no gates, no entrance fee etc, you just walk in!
Great to climb up and get a peaceful vista of the city. Fantastic photo opportunities if you're lucky enough to visit on a day when the sky is a gorgeous azure blue like it was for us (early April!!!).
I look forward to visiting again and maybe catching a concert at the ampitheatre which is in the grounds or perhaps seeing what it's like in the evening for a different perspective.

Kielce National Museum (Muzeum Narodowe, Kielce)

The no.1 you must see in Kielce - the Bishops palace with its small but lovely garden. The palace today is museum, with very good preserved original rooms, furniture, tapestries... If you are in a group, you get a guide (in various languages) or you can come alone and in every room there are very good prepared materials, where you can read information about everything in the room. There is also quite large picture gallery with Polish painters - this gallery is very good organized and I really love it. Usually you can also visit some of temporary exhibits.
So I really recommend to visit this museum. The staff is very nice and helpful.

New centre in Kielce, in nature reserve, with expositions on geology and prehistory

Reviewed By Ondrej N - Prague, Czech Republic

Nice modern building in a wonderful location (at the edge of the Wietrznia park). If you want to see the main exhibition, you have to book it before the visit. I was lucky, because I visited it during the "Night of museums". The main Exhibitions is really interesting. It presents mainly prehistoric animals, which lived in Kielce region millions years ago, as full-scale models. So this is something, what you cannot usually image from images. Some creatures are really amazing and strange. The models are accompanied by photos, texts and other graphics introducing places, geology or history.
There is also a 5D cinema (in the shape of big drill), but I did not tried it.
If you have a chance to book a tour, do it - I recommend it.
I do not remember in this moment, if there are texts only in Polish or also in English.

Sienkiewicza Street

If you are in Kielce for the weekend and plan to shop at all - make sure you get to the Sienkiewicza street well before 2pm - nearly all the shops close early except for the many gelato places. And they aren't open on Sunday.
At night the street is well lit and felt very safe. But again nothing open so short lived in terms of anything to do.

Getting there can be a bit tiresome as some routes go ratehr uphill (though it is only 340 m above the seam level), but the view from the top should be a reward enough. Next to monastery tehre is also a nature reserve with some old trees (150 years old and older).

Well organized - easy to book and tour started on time, very good and passionate guide - the lady took very good care of us, making sure we don't slip or hit our heads in low places. Well explained history and geology of the place. Underground cave is definitely worth a visit - as great addition to Kielce history and local places to see.

Very good maintained catholic Cathedral just few meters from the Bishops palace. The origins of this church are in 12th century. The bell tower plays nice melodies - so not the same every hour. This place is one of the best in Kielce for quite relax.

Not so large but beautiful geological park, where you can learn a lot of history of Earth. It is peaceful place where you can relax in nice sunny days and take a walk. Also you can meet there some interesting birds and insects. There is a route with info-tables (I think only in Polish), where you can read about interesting geological formations and nature around you. At the end of the park, there is the Geo-Education center placed.
I recommend to visit this nice natural park-
