The only working waterwheel-operated grist mill in Western Canada. "Grist" is clean grain ready to be milled into flour. We are open from 10am to 4pm daily until Thanksgiving. This site offers western Canada's only waterwheel-powered flour mill (built in 1877), restaurant with a lunch menu, gardens, and gift shop featuring local artisans and heritage items. Our 11 site campground has water and power hook-ups. Each site backs onto Keremeos Creek. We are close to a wide range of other activities such as fishing, hiking, and wine tasting.
Had a great day trip to the Keremeos Grist Mill & Gardens this past week! The site curator gave us a socially distant tour of the site and we learned a lot about the many varieties of heritage apples on the site and history of the water wheel. We camped for several nights at their creekside location and was relaxing to rest with the sounds of the creek and the dark starry night skies. The best part of the visit was wonderful aromas of beets being pickled on site. We loaded up our car with their crafted on site jellies, pickles and jams. Highly recomend bringing home the onion jam. A nice rich and flavorful addition to our grilled cheese sandwich once we got home. The campsite was easy to book (we just called them to reserve), clean, had electricty and was very family friendly yet adhered to all C19 protocols. Restrooms are on site and lots of day trip options. Try the Benja Thai for take out in Keremeos (about a 5 minute drive away from the Grist Mill), there is a Buy Low supermarket in town (also a 5 minute drive away) to pick up any incidentals you might need for campsite cooking. As the fruit stands can get very very busy this time of year, we went to Sandersons early in the morning to pick up our fruit before heading home.

Hiking and fishing in Cathedral Park is a rare and exclusive privilege. To see its magnificent alpine meadows in full bloom and the panoramic vistas from its rugged ridges is once-in-a-lifetime experience. I can’t think of a much better way to reconnect even the most jaded traveller to nature and remind one of what life is truly worth living for. I just cannot say this more emphatically. This is a very special place. An inconsiderate Tripadvisor reviewer recently complained about the $120 cost for transportation in a 4x4 Suburban into the heart of this pristine wilderness park. That was shocking. I was expecting next to read that they thought a McDonalds is missing here. This person did have the choice to walk up a 1200 metre vertical climb over 16 kilometres on a rugged 4x4 road. This person clearly doesn’t understand what it truly costs to maintain a road and a safe fleet of vehicles to ferry the 20-30 people a day that take the shuttle to visit this alpine wonderland during the short June-September season. The ride would still be a steal at $250. Staying in the Park overnight is a great option at campsites that cost around $10 a day or in a rustic, comfortable but understandably expensive lodge and cabins. (Imagine the cost of maintaining a small, fully-serviced lodge, fresh meals and cabins available for only a few months a year.) Check-out the new Japanese style, wooden outdoor hot tubs to get an idea of what lengths they go to to look after their guests. This small wilderness park is just the way it should be to keep it pristine and uncrowded, yet accessible and easy to enjoy in comfort. It’s fortunately remote, exclusive and hard to get to. If the inconsiderate reviewer and hundreds more a day could drive their “Jeeps” there, this fragile wilderness would get spoiled in no time, just as quickly as the lakes teeming with trout would get depleted.

Robin Ridge Winery is located in the stunning Similkameen Valley. Our 100% estate organically grown fruit is crafted into small quantities of high quality wine through attention to detail from the organic vineyards to the cellar by owners Tim & Caroline Cottrill. Enjoy a tasting of our award-winning wines in our tasting room, and take in the Mountain view from our patio, which is the perfect picnic location or take your picnic into the vineyard and find a bench for your picnic excursion. We are conveniently located 1 km NE from downtown Keremeos on Middle Bench Road off of HWY 3A. We are open daily throughout the summer from 10:00-5:30
Their wines are all well balanced and costumer service was perfect. I am always looking for those tasty and healthy wines. I found Flamingo wine was a perfect rosé for me.

We had a wonderful visit and shop today and were warmly received and aided by the head honcho and his team of lovely people. Yummy plums, squashes, apples, pears and garlic plus cauliflower broccoli and lots of great stories. Thank you so much for making us feel like family.

Corcelettes Estate Winery, located on 150 acres in the Similkameen Valley, blends passion, precision and science to craft expressive, small lot premium wines. Led by Charlie and Jesce Baessler, the skilled team at Corcelettes is committed to creating exceptional wines and experiences. In history the word “Corcelettes” described a royal garden; this hasn’t changed with the team’s continued attention to the land and precision practices in both the vineyard and cellar.
Excellent service: Jennifer was very knowledgeable and great at joggling different groups at the same time. I only tried frizzante, white and rosé(since I don't like red wine). They were all good, but Oracle, the rosé, was the best. Prices are definitively good: Tasting of 5 for 5, and glass of wine for 5.

Clos du Soleil is a small artisan winery and estate vineyard on the Upper Bench of the South Similkameen Valley, in British Columbia, Canada. We produce ultra-premium quality wines, borrowing an aesthetic derived from the great wines of Bordeaux, but stamped with the flavours and aromas of our particular piece of rocky Similkameen land. Through traditional winemaking techniques, informed by research, but adhering to the philosophies of minimal-interventionist winemaking and biodynamic viticulture, we produce wines that are complex and classic, ageable and elegant. Please note: our tasting room is currently closed for tastings. Please visit our website for updates and details of future tastings and reservations. Thank you!
So many wonderful wines are produced here! It is well worth the visit! Every time I go I come away with a minimum of one case of wine. The Celestial is my house wine! The Syrah is likely my favorite red. Their Rose is amazing. The Capella is delicious!

The One Eyed Budgie Gift Shop is contained within the Laugh Factory, 2649 Highway 3, Keremeos, B.C.. Also within the Laugh Factory is the Ferdinand (Art) Gallery, which hosts a different local (B.C.) artist every 2 weeks. The large majority of gift & art items sold within the Gift Shop are created in the Laugh Factory building. It produces funky & colourful concrete garden critters, which are based upon the owners sculptures. Also sold is a variety of humorous handmade wood signs, jewelry, crates, rustic furniture and coat hook shelves. Natural soaps & body lotions, soups, teas and other items are available from other B.C. artists. The Laugh Factory is located less than a kilometer from the Highway 3/Highway 3A junction (Canco Station) in Keremeos, B.C.. It is 30 minutes from Penticton or Osoyoos and 45 minutes east of Princeton.
Love the One Eyed Budgie! Lovely art, fun pieces for your home or garden and the owner was lovely. Thank you for making our girls feel special whilst shopping.

This is my favourite Keremeos fruit stand, and I stop here every time I drive through town. Although this time I was there in July, I especially like to visit in the fall when they have mountains of pumpkins and squash as well as all the late summer fruit. The staff are friendly and the place is nice and clean. It's conveniently located on the south end of town, for people who've been to the Okanagan and are returning home to the Fraser Valley and Vancouver area.

What a great time tasting and talking. The owner spent time talking about his history in the valley and all his varieties of wines. How they established the first winery in the region and the family still hand crafts all the wines. Worth exploring.
