Rainbow Jungle

Reviewed By chrissiecorcoran

This is a privately run business which houses a wide variety of birds, some of which are endangered. There is a free flight area and there is information about the various birds. The setting is very tasteful with lots of water features which include fish and water lilies. I have visited Kalbarri several times but never visited the Rainbow Jungle before. I would recommend a vist and commend the owners for a very well kept attraction which is sensitve to conservation of vulnerable species.

Red Bluff

We followed the road signage to the main carpark. Easy paved walkway to the lookout which provides amazing views of the coast. You can walk down to beach from here but we chose to exit and instead drive past the Red Bluff Caravan park where you can park near the beach and explore the red bluff Beach. Many rockpools with little crabs and fish around. Lovely place to explore and have a swim.

Whether fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming or just looking for a relaxing time on a bit of beach you will find it here. Just be warned to keep insect repellant or a fly veil as the flies are annoying at this time of year

Big River Ranch

Visited the Big River Ranch with my husband and our two kids (21yrs and 16yrs). We went on a trail ride through bush trails and along the river, and even crossed through the river which was fun, and great on quite a warm day. Very nice scenery too. Our two guides were very competent and friendly and we all had a great time and enjoyable ride. Thanks also to our four beautiful horses who were all so well behaved!????

Blue Holes

This is a protected fish sanctuary making it perfect for snorkeling. Low tide shows the rockpools and reef and seemed to be very popular with families and kids. High tide is still stunning snorkeling but be careful of strong currents that can carry a swimmer metres along the beach before they realise.

Island Rock & Natural Bridge

Reviewed By lovetowander_co_uk - Birmingham, United Kingdom

There are a variety of trails through the inland gorges (10 degrees hotter than on the coast) and all along the coast.  We opted for the coastal route and spent a very happy day exploring Natural Bridge, Island Rock, Eagle Gorge and Pot Alley.  The red cliffs are really spectacular here - full of intricate details when you get close up to them and glistening in the sun.  The contrast with the roaring Indian Ocean is spectacular. Bring plenty of water - people have died from heat exhaustion walking these trails.

Kalbarri Pelican Feeding

Great family activity to do when in Kalbarri, very informative and interactive. Anyone can have a go at feeding the Pelicans - also this is totally run by local volunteers that give their time up freely to do this for the community and tourists , all they ask is a gold coin donation to help with the purchase of the fish for feeding

Pink Lake

Reviewed By 694rf - Singapore, Singapore

We were there on a sunny day around 11am, a perfect setting to experience the amazing lake! Just watch out if you want to walk on the lake edge as some area can be quite marshy and your shoes could sink quickly in the deep.
